What can I say, to me you were more than just a staff member. You were and still are an amazing role model to me, and I bet many others, and you are a great friend, more than I could have ever asked for. You have brought my darkest days into bright lights and you made my life so much better. You have also inspired me to become a better person and to always stay happy no matter what. I'm sorry about my past mistakes and I would like to apologize for every time I wasn't there for you, because you were always there for me. You stay amazing and please be safe, to me you are a savior, and I can't thank you enough for it. Its been a long run but its been a great one. I guess it's my time to shine. Before I start, I'd to let you guys know that activity and ability to play JB correctly does NOT mean someone is fit for moderator. If that were the case we'd promote everyone who's been on for a decent while and knows how to play. ScottNi is definitely a special case in xG. He's a generally fun person in most cases but can also show signs of immaturity or just not being ready. Through this TEDTalk writing I will explain the three things you should keep in mind about Scott before coming to a real decision, and maybe I can change some points of view. Firstly, we'd have to talk about Scott's impact on the community, we'd have to talk about his maturity, and his readiness to handle leadership. Scott has the potential to be a great staff member but does not clearly present it. To start us off, Scott is usually an enjoyable person. There hasn't been major troubles with him since Goldfish. But even coming from me, Scott has some serious issues with goldfish and did not show even the slightest bit of kindness when around him. Scott plays a lot of 10mans but in the case when it gets toxic, he often contributes to the toxicity rather than helping. While he usually doesn't start the problems, he sure doesn't fix them and a lot of the times causes them to continue further and build up more toxicity. Scott has made friends with the majority of the community as well as joining in on memes, them being annoying or not. Scott has definitely shown his involvement with the community, but not his commitment. Scott has issues with maturity. He doesn't showcase his best behavior and often has problems with certain members. He also doesn't react kindly to random people who don't like him. Scott has shown that one of his major weaknesses is his immaturity and while there are attempts to improve, nothing is achieved. Scott also doesn't seem to own up to his mistakes and instead tries to play it off or just make an excuse. When receiving criticism, Scott often pulls the hypocrisy card or shifts blame. This minecraft stuff that's been going on shouldn't be disregarded since it is key evidence displaying Scott's personality. If he acts this way on other servers chances are he's not going to put on a mask on xG. I assume we wouldn't encourage fake personalities solely on our servers while also representing the xG community outside and being intolerable. Scott needs to improve on his overall maturity and how he acts around the public of our servers. Donald McGannon, a broadcasting industry executive in the mid 1900's, once said "Leadership is an action, not a postion". This is a perfect example to use here since it seems like Scott doesn't have much interest in moderating servers, but more for the position you stand in. I'm not saying he is power hungry or would abuse, the problem here is that I've seen too many of these examples where someone is just tired of getting freekilled and being too lazy to get evidence. Another issue here is that due to either his wardening skills, his voice, or his overall personality, it doesn't seem like the semi-new community likes him much. With the moderator position you will get less disrespect and can act on the people who don't like you, which is not at all what it's about. Moderating is about leadership and readiness to voluntarily commit your devotion to the community. The willingness and eagerness to help out when needed is what it's about. The ability to not play, but moderate carefully when needed. I just don't think Scott shows visible signs that he is ready. In conclusion, Scott hasn't shown enough maturity or readiness to be a moderator in the community. He may have a decent reputation in the clan but just doesn't show the leadership skills or the maturity to join us in the roster yet. I believe Scott will one day soon be ready but for now he just hasn't got it in him. One day Scott could make a great moderator and he definitely has the potential but just overall does not show enough that we can see. I will not be +1ing this moderator application due to the fact that Scott does know clearly present his potential to be a moderator. Unfortunately, a "neutral" does nothing and gets nothing done. In this case I am going to have to go with a -1. Scott's overall maturity and presented moderator-friendly skills do not convince me that he is ready to join the CS:GO XenoGamer staff roster. -1 for mod -1 for probationary mod. I don't feel like probationary mod is the way to go. I believe someone should apply when they are truly ready to join the staff as a full mod and shouldn't have to prove themselves worthy or whatever.

@Sodium I'm not sure what you're trying to show here because there is no context and lack of a timeline/history. If @ScottNi chooses to further back up his claims he will need to post screenshots of proof of the spam I guess, but I'm sure Lithium will take what you said into some level of consideration. As Tatost said, this isnt the time or place to be taking personal shots at each other. You stated your opinion, gave your perspective, now I would just recommend leaving it at that,

0. One of the most active people on the server and very knowledgeable of the rules but I'm not confident that the level of maturity is there just yet. He reminds me of myself in 2014* (where I should have never gotten mod honestly). Generally kind to the server population but as soon as someone starts being annoying or someone he adamantly hates (supermaki, goldfish, sodium etc) is around it turns into insulting and a generally negative tone. Going to have to remain neutral on this (kinda, see below). I honestly think Scott is definitely is better than average when it comes to players, and I think he has a lot of potential. The only thing keeping me from +1ing at this moment, is that he can lose is cool/can be baited into arguments. As for why that is an issue, it just does not look great for staff to be arguing with people on the servers/forums. Pretty much this. I can be on board with probationary mod, and if that is the case I will definitely +1.

Spoke to Caleb, he will be stepping down from staff, but will help code plug-ins and help the TF2 higher-ups if they need it. He'll always be a higher-up in our hearts, even if he doesn't want the position

In my opinion probationary mod is stupid and if people aren't fit for full mod then they shouldn't be staff at all. It's nerf or nothing.

I dont really know scott outside of the jailbreak server but from the times Ive played with him on there he was friendly and was very helpful teaching newer players the rules. Ima give it a +1 because he's always a good guy when I see him on.

Alright i just finished writing my college essay i'm prepared to type this term paper. The reason that i would put a -1 is the maturity really there are a lot of times where scottni is actually pretty chill hes not that bad all of the time. But there are some spotty moments which can be migraine ^ as bonk says "Also tends to hold grudges and continue arguments where the easiest option would just be to leave". This is a very common thing about scottni most of the time it's literally like arguing to a brick wall and there are certain people who scottni has no intentions on helping such as someone who was "Annoying" like goldfish. Scottni had always been spiteful to goldfish or supermaki. I believe that if he had some time to grow with maturity then maybe it could be a +1. +1, been extremely fun to be around both as a friend and as a (potential) staff member, which is one of his many amazing attributes. I speak from experience both on and off of the servers that he would be an excellent fit for the cs division staff team.

Then when you were kicked you spammed me on discord and steam till I blocked you THEN you went on the servers mic spamming to get my attention. That’s why we are not friends. This is going to be a strong -1 on my part. ScottNi and I were close friends for a good portion of the 4 months I have played on this server. When you first meet ScottNi he seems like a nice, warmhearted, and caring person on the outside, but once you get to know him he is an entire different person. Once you get to know him he is a hotheaded, uptight, and short tempered. I always saw the nice and caring half of Scott while playing Jailbreak with him, but then we started to play on the MC Division. Everything went fine, until I started to deviate from doing exactly what Scott wanted me to do. I started have fun, mine by myself, farm XP, and do other Minecraft things. Scott was not okay with this. He would only want me to do what HE wanted to do, and got mad at me for playing other games, or playing on another Minecraft server. Scott soon after invited me back to the town on Minecraft, but kicked me again, and now dislikes @Hg2CI2 because he was made at OnlyaLittleGay, because he wouldn't give him the schematics for something. (an Enderman farm I believe) I don't believe that ScottNi has the tolerance to be a mod, and is too short tempered to moderate well.
