Playstation 2 Hook Up

Recommended Posts

I'm not really even sure what you're asking... Are you wanting to use your Laptop as both a controller and a screen for your PS2? If so, I'm not entirely sure that is possible and if it is, wouldn't be that efficient

Can someone tell me how I can use my laptop to attach my playstaytion 2 to my laptop, so I can play my playstation 2 games on it :p

Could you elaborate a bit more?

Do you want to connect your PS2 to your laptop in order to use your laptop as the screen, or do you want to play your PS2 games on your laptop with a PS2 controller?

Both can be done, however you'll most likely need to purchase components that you probably won't have on you first hand. If you want to play your PS2 games on your laptop, then [as previously mentioned] your best bet is to just run an emulator on it. ROMs and emulators are relatively free and easy to find.

As for using a PS2 controller on your laptop, you'll have to buy an adapter that will convert the weird ass PS2 plugin to a USB. Though to be perfectly honest, it would be easier to use either a PS3/PS4 or Xbox 360/one controller since all it requires is the usual micro/mini USB to standard USB plugin.

Editing the post to provide more info:

PS2 Emulator: Downloads

PS2 ROMs/ISOs: PS2 ISOs | Emuparadise

I'd stay away from the ISOs and ROMs as that would be making this far more illegal than just playing the disc in your pc with the emulator...

How to Connect a Playstation 2 (PS2) to a Computer Monitor (LCD) This link may be able to help in that case. Basically, it allows you to use the component cables (the yellow/white/red cables) that come with the PS2 to plug into a switch that can then output to say, a VGA cable, which can then be plugged into your laptop to display it on the laptop's screen.
