All that this server needs is someone to be on it to make sure if it crashes it gets put back up and to have people install the updates. I had a awp in the disco DJ hallway. Ever think that I shot him from there? Or is that impossible? Also, I would like to point out that the same people who were insulting me in game are the ones coming to defend him.

After trying to do a Pokemon day that went to shit after I couldnt get my orders out thanks to the multiple mods insulting me in voice chat all Ts rebelled. I was shot to 20 hp in front of the DJ booth entrance. I then backed up inside the hallway and started picked off Ts through the glass doors who were shooting at the CT who was just outside the exit. I then got last CT after he died and rushed out and proceeded with Last CT. Chrono then slayed me for "camping for last ct in pool". I never even had set foot in pool the entire round. The next round after having to ungag myself after Fair Enough Sirs did for no reason, I kicked him from the game. He then joined back, accused me of abuse, and then banned me for a day. The only reason why this is only Chrono instead of everyone who was constantly insulting me, so much so that I couldnt speak and was scared to mute those so I could have a successful day, is because @Aegean! Is talking to those who have been insulting me and changing their names to stegofag, stego is a fag, etc. If you are calling me immature after you are ganging up on me so much so that I cant even play in the afternoons anymore and changing your name to "stegofag" you really need to look in a mirror.

Well. I propose that we hold off on the DayZ server then. Their forum is a mess. They have little to none customer service. Their game is already buggy as fuck. And the cost of a server for CO is going up because of the amount of servers wanting DayZ. ALL DREAMS ARE CRUSHED. ALL HOPES ARE LOST. MUST WAIT UNTIL XG HAS MORE MONIES!

As I was looking through the hell they call DayZ Forums, I found the requirements for a DayZ server, which we dont currently meet... CPU: Modern Quad Core @ 2.0Ghz+ (CPU is the main bottleneck for an ArmA server, so the more powerful the better) RAM: 8GB (RAM isn't a big issue in an ArmA server, so don't be overly concerned with having copious amounts) Storage: 50GB+ HDD - 500 IOPS minimum. SSD or 15k RPM SAS is recommended. Network: 100Mbps+ dedicated. Bandwidth cap must be at least 2TB or more. Slots: All servers must be running at 40+ slots, or 30+ in areas where bandwidth is expensive and where permitted. Update 2: Its taking them a lot longer of a time to grant access to our server to use the mod than I thought... Ive looked into downloading the mission file from somewhere else but it only has older versions that wouldnt work. Also if caught the server would be shut down. As for right now, all we can do it wait for the people at DayZ to approve our server so that we may finally play the mod.

Ok so. So you guys dont have to keep asking, i will be updating this thread and answering questions about the server so if you have a question it might be already answered. So quickly we have a DayZ Server. I am maintaining it. Currently I am waiting for a confirmation email from the makers of the mod to allow us to have the mod on our server. Before you can even download the file to run on the server they have to confirm it so there is no way to get around that. After I get the confirmation which hopefully will be sometime today, the server will be up a couple hours after that. Most likely the number of people who can play on the server will 40 players. As the server grows silence will most likely update the server itself to allow the game to run with less lag. We cant not change the DayZ mod in any way for the people who play on the server to have any better equipment. This is because unlike vehicles, weapons stay with you no matter what server you go on. So giving you a free sniper rifle with a full backpack of mags wouldnt be fair now would it? Thats all I know for now so if you have any questions just post em here. Ill answer them as soon as I can.

What I meant for the post was, if catbutts thinks that xG is so bad, why not try out other clans. The clan i mentioned before has xG members that quit xG and went to that clan, one of which is @@Otherworldly who everyone loves. I apologize for advertising, I didnt realize it at the time. What i thought i was doing is giving catbutts an option, many people who go to that clan come back to xG as well after the realize that every clan isnt perfect. I shouldnt of used a specific example but at the time I was thinking of the many people who play DayZ with Catbutts and I who are in that clan. Everyone has their own opinion and I was just expressing mine to him. One that would have a higher percentage of him coming back and joining xG.

Ok. Military camps have military weapons. Those are the best in the game. There are more zombies there than anywhere else. Hey Catbutts. It sucks you left xg. If you ever feel like coming back there will always be a spot for ya. But if you decide not to try out Dev. from what I hear they are a smaller clan basically filled with oldfags from xg. They are really nice. Im friends with a lot of them. If you wanted to try them out for a bit before you came back it might be a good idea.
