I have had this coming to me. What I did was unacceptable. I craved attention which leaded to impulsive actions. I have no excuse for the scar I have left, I lied to all of you and I have no excuse for that. Like I said what I did was unacceptable, I've already removed myself from most things xG related to keep myself away and not hurt any more of you amazing people. None of you ever deserved this. None. @Kypari specifically, I hurt and said the most disgusting and horrendous things to and he never deserved that. In disgusted with myself and this is something that doesn't deserve a second chance. I lied so much I don't even know the number anymore. I don't want to hurt anyone else, I've come to terms that what I have done was wrong. I hurt all of you for no good reason. You are all lovely people and I betrayed and shattered everyone's trust. I can't redeem myself from this whole I dug myself into. I'd rather have my membership removed, powers, all of it, in exchange to never hurt any of you ever again. I lied, failed, and hurt all of you in the process. I am going to remove myself from everywhere to make sure all of you have a better times without me. +1. I have no excuses here.

Kinda weird to apologize if you aren't sincere about it. Also doubling down on doing nothing wrong would mean you have nothing to apologize for, so which is it? Try again when you actually understand the reasoning for your ban and when you gain some humility.

Okay, so this is a barely a +1 from me, heres why. Tree has clearly matured over the time he has been away, but from a very short chat I could tell that he has most definitely improved. Its obvious that he clearly would like to be a moderator but the main issue is not seeing you on servers, at least from my experience I haven't seen you on servers often, that may be due to my lack of being on xG because of school finals and all that, but never the less I would like to see you on servers more often, so if you can get your hours up and show you really want to be a mod than I would recommend to do so, best of luck with your mod application!

Here we go! Alright, for the first step to improving servers I would say is to be more lenient when it comes to rules however at the same time make sure its well secured to prevent any sort of loopholing and to be as descriptive as possible because before hand there were multiple times in which something seemed like a loophole but I wasn't really sure just because it barely touched up on to that very bare bone rules of "no loopholing" if it could be more descriptive all the while removing some of the more so extra rules that aren't really needed it can allow for more freedom on servers while still keeping a very tight structure of the rules to ensure nobody slips by via barely really messing with a rule to the point where if you do an action that is unliked I can easily check against the rules and be able to decide if its a loophole, against the rules, or not, so more descriptive rules with more freedom is what I am getting at. Along with that if anyone server isn't really getting popular I believe that community hosted nights should be able to be started by admins and + to get said servers to be populated, the reason why I say this is because higher ups most of the time can't actually host a community night and if all the admins who don't have as much stress decide than servers can be up and more populated more often, the reason why I say admin and not mod is because they are obviously more trusted, I will most definitely post more ideas soon, just right now I am a bit busy with other things, also if you need help with plugins I know a thing or two (not really but I can try my best, I have the basics down lol). Good luck you guys!

As of recent, as you all know, the TF2 Divison has been struggling a lot recently. It is as a result of multiple reasons, one being a lack of motivation from us which has resulted in the game feeling stale, even on xG. However, Seg's demotion has been a massive wake-up call to Caleb and I who are now going to be working harder than ever before in order to return TF2 to its former glory.
We have been discussing things recently and have decided that we are going to do a rework of the rules, coming up with ideas for plugins to keep the game fresh and hope to make our servers better than ever before. We will try to keep you all updated as much as possible as a result of there being previous complaints about lack of communication between the TF2 Higherups and the Community.
If anyone has any suggestions whatsoever, please let us know here.
Please don't go anywhere; there's much more to come and lots of fun to be had! Let's bring TF2 back.
Edit of 7/18: Thank you to everyone for your feedback and encouragement. You've been a lot of help. Any further suggestions you might have, redirect to here.

I have made this before I will do it again, random crits are not a requirement on surf. They just ruin the fun of the server and should be disabled, if we have random crits removed on every other server, why not this server? If we remove random crits on this server I believe that it will make everyone who regularly plays on this server much more happy, my main point being the negativity bias. If you get a random crit, wow I got lucky and killed three guys out of luck, cool. That is a positive experience however that experience disappears in mere moments, however the negative experience, aka the three people on the other side of the crit got the negative experience, and those experiences last significantly longer and they sure as hell won't be forgotten, thus in conclusion it would be better to completely remove random crits from surf.

I'm all for self improvement, 100%, but this is the first I've seen of you since this thread:

If I am to +1 someone after what I've seen of them previously, I want to see them giving an active effort to try and improve their self image, not jumping ship, hoping it blows over and coming back a few months later.  I could be wrong, you might have been talking with other people on discord, on the servers etc, all I'm saying is that I personally haven't seen it.  I'd have liked to see some sort of effort especially on the forums building up to you applying for member, if this application doesn't go well working on your forum reputation, not just the number beneath your name, but how people view you is a good place to start, since I do believe that's where a lot of this began.

This is clearly satirical & ironical and you knew you'd get a reaction out of it, posting this when your last post on these forums was saying you are never going to come back, blocking everyone, etc isn't a very bright idea.  If you decide to leave and then come back, that's awesome, but do know that posting things like previously stated and then coming back and the first thing you do is saying that WILL have negative reactions.

This also doesn't help your case.  Applying and then saying it's "a bit of a meme", if you ask me that just tells me you don't really care.  As @ABlueSkittle123 said, as a member of xG you are representing the clan as a whole.  More importantly, xG or not, you are representing yourself at all times.  If you want to be seen as nothing more than a meme, then go right ahead, if you want to be respected by your peers then you have to prove it.  You can't just dig yourself a hole and then get upset when someone pushes you into the hole, you got yourself into the situation,  now you have to work to get yourself out.
    -1
Good luck on the rest of your application.

I just would like to see you on more often, and I would like to see your improvement, I am on your side and I am rooting for you but you got to prove to others that you are not here just to mess around and mess with the community, because do remember that being a member means you are representing the community and by presenting yourself to be an immature person makes the community overall not look so good, not saying that you are immature. I would like to see your improvement in action and I would like to see you try and fix the errors of your ways and patch up your past, for now I am staying neutral.

@ScottNi Fortnite runs on the Unreal Engine, I said Source engine as thats what Valve uses and due to it being a game made by Valve I thought it would be more fair to put it in that category compared to all games in general as there would be some games bound to be luck based yet popular, also the entire concept of fortnite in general is to get lucky and find good weapons. Tf2 on the other hand is much more fixated as you have one weapon and thats all you have got, and if paired against someone with the same thing at that point its all up to skill until one person gets lucky and gets some random shiny bullets or rockets and just one shots the other player. That is unfair as compared to fortnite which is just literally luck based when it comes to fighting, sure there are battles in which the more skillful player will win but if one other person has a better version of their gun due to getting lucky they have a higher chance of winning, you shouldn't compare it to fortnite although I see your point.

To be fair random crits also make people leave, I recall many of times in which I have gotten a dumb random crit which I didn't deserve and just see people leave. Sure some people like to have this randomness factor in the game but never the less the negativity bias will always rule over, making the person on the end of receiving the crit, get upset and have a negative reaction which is much more strong compared to that millisecond of happiness the other person has and then immediately forgets about it while the person who received the crit ends up leaving the server due to getting hit by a glowing rocket that came out of nowhere. It just kills fun, period. No questions asked. Also name any other successful fps source game that has a randomness factor in it. Hell even the game its based off of doesn't even have random crits(Quake). This is the only one and clearly there are more people who dislike random crits to who actually enjoy them.

Whoa there, I almost didn't see this thread
Random crits take away a huge skill factor from the game, and to die by one is incredibly annoying. It may be entertaining to get a random crits, but 90% of the time you no longer care about the crit moments later, when your focus moves on to something else.
It also doesn't make sense to get punished for trying to kill enemies. Especially when you consider that enemies who are weak from winning a fight have a higher chance to crit you. Players that are getting kills in succession don't need the added chance to randomly do triple damage.
The same goes for random bullet spread. Last I checked it's still enabled on surf, but not on tgh. These mechanics that only serve to induce randomness have no place in a game like tf2, even in a casual setting. The recipient of the crit feels cheated, and the sender of the crit shortly thereafter either forgets or stops caring in most situations. The only exception being when a group of people are hit with the crit, but in that situation there would be multiple affected meaning that one person is cheating multiple people out of a fun experience all because of rng.
There's this arguement that random crits prevent stalemates and spawncamps. This is flawed by the fact that random crits are based on how well the player is doing and are, for lack of a better word, random. The team who's spawncamping is obviously going to be getting more kills, and relying on rng to end a spawncamp is a horrible plan when compared to a coordinated Uber push. And on almost every map there's not just one way to get into the jail. So there's always the option of surfing to a seperate jail
I do understand that sometimes it's hard to coordinate a push with a bunch of people that you might not even know, but relying on a random mechanic is not a good solution. It only serves to make recipients feel cheated out of a fair fight
    Sorry for the horrible structuring
