Ok so apparently this needs to be said and no one else will.
This entire post is probably worded badly but I don't really care, hopefully you're able to read it.

Let's go over a few basic building blocks for a community, you must:
    A. Have a playerbase
    B. Have communication
    C. You SHOULD seek advice, or guidance from your players.

Now let's go through here and see what of these we have!
The screenshots below are going to be your friend for the first part of this post.

    A. Have a playerbase - Uhh... Kind of? I'll give it a 2 at best. Any kind of playerbase you do have, I'd say a good majority leave after their first time connecting.
    B. Have communication - There was a post in October..and the (semi?)monthly newsletters.. I'll say a 4.
    C. You SHOULD seek advice, or guidance from your players. - There has been zero polls for who the fuck knows how long, except for Halo MCC if I remember correctly. 0

Ok so lets say you're left with 6 points out of 30.  That's a 20 percent.  If we followed this exactly, that would be saying your community is good as dead, or rather more than it already is.  The fact that this kind of population has been plaguing the servers for months, and not a single event has been held, just blows my mind.  How do you build a business? Or a club? Through advertisement.  You know what the best advertisement is for communities? Your players.  If there is never anything going on why should they tell others to join them or even stick around? I'm sure the majority of people won't think twice about stepping away from the servers and going somewhere else, but you get them to invite their friends, all of a sudden they became their go to place to play.  That should be your goal.

This is aimed specifically at the higherups. I don't know if anything may be going on in any of your guys' lives and that's why you aren't able to work on the community, and if there is then I hope it improves for you, but quite frankly if you aren't able to or just aren't willing to work on it, why the hell are you even in a position of power?  I get it, motivation is likely at an all time low, it was even when I was DL, and I can only guess it's gotten even worse.  But let me say this, how do you think it looks to the people that still care about the community, and the servers? Seeing the higherups not saying a damn thing about the state of really anything, and acting like everything is fine ( @hongkongatron )?? Here I'll say it for you. The majority of servers are completely dead, and the ones that still have population are only decreasing.  And I don't want to hear the excuse of it being school time, that's bullshit and we all know it is, there are plenty of other community servers out there full all the damn time.  Accepting the fact and doing something about it is a better choice, that is, if you care about the servers you claim to manage.  Literally all it takes is ONE person taking the lead, and having more community interaction, and this community could be popping again, that's literally how communities work.  They are based around communication.  Run polls to figure out the future of the servers, do events with other communities to bring traffic to both, do SOMETHING, at this point literally anything is better than how it's been.  I could be completely wrong, and everything could just be being posted to the discord, and if it is then fine but I HIGHLY doubt it, and if it is why the fuck isn't there posts about whatever it may be on the forums as well?  Forums exist for a reason, it's kind of where, you know, COMMUNITIES get together..  To tell you the truth, the CMs should be the ones focusing on fixing this dumpster fire, and I personally have not seen a single thing out of any of them regarding the community in months, or longer.  The most I've seen is promo demos, which haven't even been posted since October, Lithium and Bleed do CSGO I would assume, Virr I have no idea anymore. So really I just have one question, if it's taken this long to do anything, you guys must be working on something huge right?  Maybe it'd be a good idea to tell your people about it, that is, if there IS anything. I'll wait 🙂

I was gonna type more but then I realized all of this will probably just get ignored like everything else so fuck it, that's the motto around here right? I know I said I wasn't gonna care anymore, and after this I really don't give a shit what you decide to do, but it does push me in the wrong direction to see the current situation of literally nothing happening and the community being killed.  I honestly give up with this place, if you want to ban me then please do so, if you want to actually take advice from anyone for once then please do so.  And I don't apologize for being "too harsh" either, I can't believe I even had to make this post in the first place.  I'm out lmao

TL;DR - xG is supposed to be a community, figure out what the word community means, and what they are.

Hello everyone, long time no see.

It has come to attention that the TF2 Division Leader, BlueSkittle, is a pathological liar who has manipulated their way to the high ranks and lied about their life. They have told lies that have affected myself, my family and friends and ultimately the entirety of xG.
Skittle has lied about his own personal life to the effect of other members of xG including controversial topics such as suicide, life changing injuries and his ability to function as DL.
For one, Skittle told everyone that he was in a cycling incident in which he was struck by a car in a drink driving accident, resulting in life changing injuries such as brain damage that affected his memory. He told all of his friends this, including his girlfriend, which turned to be a complete exaggeration as to what really occurred. See, Skittle was struck by a car but only suffered minor injuries such as cuts and bruises after he “got mostly out of the way” and fell onto a patch of grass. However, he proceeded to lie to everyone and convinced us that he had brain damage, occasionally acting upon and asking us to tell him who we are.

Secondly, Skittle lied to all of us and his friends that he attempted suicide by climbing up onto a roof and jumping off. However, he now claims in private message that this untrue and that he did actually go onto his roof, but he did not jump off. He originally claimed that he did jump off and injured his back massively and ended up in hospital. This was as a result of an argument that occurred in a private discord with members from xG. He proceeded to message @Kypari leading up to this “suicide attempt”, explaining why he’s not meant to be here and implying that he was going to kill himself. As stated previously, this was a lie. He convinced everyone for months, lead some members into a deep depression and panic over it and caused a string of anxiety following this lie. For what? His own personal façade.

Thirdly, Skittle has numerously lied about his accomplishments. He claimed to have written an aimbot plugin, which was fully functional. However, in private message AFTER I promoted him under the impression he was capable, he stated this was untrue and scrapped the project due to his inability to create the plugin. Furthermore, he claims other people’s work as his own as he posted a photo in a private discord of his version of Bob Ross’ painting “On A Clear Day”. He claimed it as his own work, but in actuality, had used an online pixel converter (that takes 2 clicks of a button) to create this “painting” that he had made. Once again, all lies.

We confronted him and @virr about this, but Virr assured me that Skittle was stepping down because of it and that was the end. We were content with this solution, however, once again, Skittle has failed to realise that his actions have consequences and refuses to recognise his responsibility as a Division Leader and overall, as a member of xG.

In conclusion, Skittle has manipulated us all, lied to us and proceeds to continue this false identity hoping with no backlashes or consequences. However, it is our opinion that Skittle is an unfit member for our community and we request that his powers and membership be ultimately removed.

    Do the right thing.

He's shown he's improved, and activity isn't really a factor anymore with how little the servers see population
But playing tf2 makes you cool so do it regardless

Oh shit I got put in it. Cool. Good work on that, gave me a good chuckle or two. Btw, for me, you could've done a piece of meat or one of my old chicken drumstick profile pics. I get the wanting to go for consistency with only using forum profile pics, but those are better representations of me I guess is what I'm saying. Another option could be my original form from when the now dead Meat Clan was formed. Damn, now I'm thinkin' about Meat Clan and getting sad. Had some good times with those folks. The Discord server is still up and I'm still a high power in it. I'm going off on a tangent, sorry. This was kind of a dumb nitpick, but I wanted to say something. Ya did good on this my dude. Kudos to you.

Here we go! Alright, for the first step to improving servers I would say is to be more lenient when it comes to rules however at the same time make sure its well secured to prevent any sort of loopholing and to be as descriptive as possible because before hand there were multiple times in which something seemed like a loophole but I wasn't really sure just because it barely touched up on to that very bare bone rules of "no loopholing" if it could be more descriptive all the while removing some of the more so extra rules that aren't really needed it can allow for more freedom on servers while still keeping a very tight structure of the rules to ensure nobody slips by via barely really messing with a rule to the point where if you do an action that is unliked I can easily check against the rules and be able to decide if its a loophole, against the rules, or not, so more descriptive rules with more freedom is what I am getting at. Along with that if anyone server isn't really getting popular I believe that community hosted nights should be able to be started by admins and + to get said servers to be populated, the reason why I say this is because higher ups most of the time can't actually host a community night and if all the admins who don't have as much stress decide than servers can be up and more populated more often, the reason why I say admin and not mod is because they are obviously more trusted, I will most definitely post more ideas soon, just right now I am a bit busy with other things, also if you need help with plugins I know a thing or two (not really but I can try my best, I have the basics down lol). Good luck you guys!

Unless you have a real need to be constantly moving your setup around, a desktop is the more viable and cost-effective option for gaming. Besides the fact they are much easier to build and upgrade, there are an insane amount of builds you can find on sites like pcpartpicker, with a variety of price points and build qualities. Take it from someone who's first gaming pc was a garbo laptop that had trouble running css and gmod, moving to desktop was amazing.

If you are constantly on the move, than a laptop may be more your speed and would make more sense, but I have no idea if that is the case for you.

In this post im going to be explaining why I used to be such a scumbag on this community, though none of what I say excuses what I did, I think what happened was all on me.

Ok, first time. The first time i left was out of rage because I spammed the forums, and was facing deserved backlash that I thought I didn't deserve.
Second time. I honestly don't even remember.
Third time. I left because me and my friends at the time (I still don't really know my relationship with them at this point) had a fallout because I was being a cancerous piece of shitand I became extremely angry and left for no reason.
Thats about all the ones i even remember, remember i'm truly sorry for the asshole iv'e been to all of you. I really want to be a better person, online and in real life. Iv'e been trying (and hopefully succeeding) at being a better person on here. Thats about all I have to say, Goodbye.

Where to even start, Alright, well I have seen you on servers and you have been nicer and overall better in general. I just would like to see you on more often, and I would like to see your improvement, I am on your side and I am rooting for you but you got to prove to others that you are not here just to mess around and mess with the community, because do remember that being a member means you are representing the community and by presenting yourself to be an immature person makes the community overall not look so good, not saying that you are immature. I would like to see your improvement in action and I would like to see you try and fix the errors of your ways and patch up your past, for now I am staying neutral.

Honestly easy +1. And no, it's not cause he's my friend. Let me break it down for y'all.
As a DL I'm tasked with picking staff members for my division. When I do this I look for a few key things. That's maturity (as in knowing when to be serious and when to have a laugh), work ethic (how well you do your job and making sure you don't cut corners, etc.), and quick thinking (can you interpret a situation and make a good call on how to deal with it).
Now, Polar shows a great deal of all of these. His work ethic is rare. For example, at his IRL job I know even when it's rough, he never complains about it. He just says he'll figure it out and grinds it till he gets it right again. Maturity, he likes to troll and joke around but if his work ethic says anything it's that on our servers as staff, he's going to take it seriously and do what's right. Lastly, his quick decision making. When somethings up, he makes smart decisions that genuinely take all parties into account, and when it's something personal, he removed himself and his feelings from the situation on server.
He owns up to his mistakes and always is trying to grow/learn from them. He works hard and knows the rules. He's also incredibly active in the community accross all social circles.
    So yeah, +1.
