  1. The Trouble in Terrorist's Town server, like all other GMod servers, follow the General Garry's Mod Server Rules found here, in addition to the General Community Rules found here. Portal Gun Rules: The Portal Gun follows general rules of RDM. Do not use it to randomly kill people with no reasoning. Do not use it to escape the map boundaries at any point. No creating traps to trap people (i.e. in other players, inside a wall, etc.) When spectating, do not possess props in order to kill people. KOS Rules: You cannot KOS others without a legitimate reason (unless you're a traitor), such as being shot or someone having a traitor weapon without being proven. Some non-legitimate reasons to KOS, and instead are potentially only suspicious, include but are not limited to the following: Refusing to test Scoping in with a sniper rifle Following people around Otherwise non-KOS-able but suspicious actions Potential future rules will be added to this thread when the need arises. 2. What division does each division leader have?
  3. There have been a few incidents in the past where people on the server have been wrongfully accused of aimbot, walls or other kinds of hacks and have gotten banned regardless of this. To combat this, I often like to show people who have accidentally banned someone falsely for hacking a playlist on youtube dedicated to helping spot hackers. Hopefully this should help in the long-term!

  5. I don't even know where to start. So recently I've been seeing staff members enforce a rule that was removed ages ago (the ''no immature voice'' rule) and every time I've had to clarify that its no longer a rule (specifically on surf and a few others) I get told to either: (A) Make a thread on it or (B) Don't argue with staff (which is getting super aggravating). Then I get told that this is ''still a rule'' and that it just means ''don't be a moron on mic'' which is EXTREMELY VAGUE and doesn't help AT ALL with that argument. They also just point me to the ''No voice changers or tts programs'' rule but that makes no sense. Then there's also hypocrisy going on with staff where they'd punish you for being [saying something] ''disrespectful'' but then do it themselves. There are also a LOT of problems with the rules and the way staff portray and enforce the rules because theres a lot of ''up in the air rules'' and the rules themselves need to be fixed across ALL of the servers since its so unorganized and sometimes vague. P.S. Please make sure your staff actually read the rules before they try enforcing anything because from what i've seen the older staff just snowball a non-existing rule(s) into the new staff and it just gets out of control P.S.S. Can you PLEASE fix the ''Dont argue with staff'' rule because staff are using it to shut out people when they're in the wrong and they just make up excuses every single time they're called out for something wrong that they did because apparently criticism is now arguing with someone. ?
  6. I was interested in applying to become a mod for the tf2 servers but wasn't able to find a space for applications for staff. Nutty said he didn't really know where to go from there without it so i figured i'd make a forum post to try and gather some info for other people interested. Id appreciate any tips on how to go about the application process!

    Hey

So, for those of you in the Minecraft division that don't already know me, I'm your new DM (alongside Kart). I'm pretty easygoing as a person, but I don't take explicitness the best, not to say you can't swear around me, just maybe keep the jew jokes hush hush when I'm around:happy: :) I'm going to be working hard along with @Amymaniac and @Kart to try and fix the problems with the Minecraft server, feel free to message me on Xeno or Discord with any questions or concerns. Love, everyone's favorite Jew Atamo
  8. Alright so I feel as though I should re-instate my opinions from my last thread in a more intelligible way. My thread was kind of a stinkpiece I admit, I was a bit pissed off at the time. I didn't really expect to influence any sort of big changes but I was aiming to at least get some people to see it from my perspective. I wanted to voice my opinion on it even though I knew that I would get a lot of hate, and I did get a lot of hate, which is fair but I thought I would explain myself since a lot of people think I'm for what I said. This time I'm going to move away from if Nigga really is a slur or not because really, it's besides the point. My big problem is with Xenogamers outlawing slurs in general. The fact that people sometimes use slurs in general or good terms and not in a malicious way is completely ignored and it just seems unreasonable to me. People usually don't get offended at slurs if they're used in a general sense. Another thing is that it's really your choice at the end of the day to be offended by slurs or not. I don't think it's a very good idea to support people having thin skin because they can't handle hearing these words, you're just supporting weakness by doing this. People have said to me that it's because xG wants to reach out to a broader, wider audience but xG does not appeal to a wide audience at all in my opinion. xG is full of Pokefurs, Furries and every kind of weirdo in between and that scares away people on the get go by itself. And as I stated in my thread before, when you start banning words you just give them more power. It's feeding into people's sensitivities in an attempt to seem politically correct, which I don't understand because xG is just full to the brim with degenerates of all shapes and sizes who probably wouldn't give a damn about anybody saying any type of slurs. It's the admins who are making it a big deal and I don't even think most of them care much about it personally. Why would you even want to harbor anyone who gets offended by words like Nigga? My other point I was trying to make in my last thread was that the staff in xG is just downright inconsistent, and that was probably the most agreed on point so I'm just going to talk about it a little more. Here's a recent example of some very inconsistent moderating on xG: Awhile ago there was this guy on one of the TF2 servers who was trying to make trouble by loop-holing the rules on Slurs by making their name things like "Fellow African American" and etc and maybe I could have tolerated the Admin who was on ignoring it, but he was also spouting anti-semitic things like "The holocaust never happened" and "Hitler did nothing wrong" and he was going at it for a good ten to twenty minutes and the admin didn't even do anything about it. Even when I tried pointing them to the admin they just ignored it and didn't even issue any warnings to the specific person. It's not that I was offended by what they were saying but I felt like I was being cheated by the staff because this guy could get away with this scot-free but I got muted for 30 minutes for saying "I can't believe Nigga is still considered a slur here"? It seemed very unfair to me. There's inconsistencies in other rules too, it really just depends on what admin is on and what they think is bad to them. Like for instance, I used to use /bonkme -1 to do things like get out of taunts and I got away with it for a veeeeeery loooooong time without any admins saying anything about it until all of a sudden I was getting threatened to be banned for it by someone, Which just confused the fuck out of me because it was so normal to me that it had become habit. Another one is using putting teleporters in the skybox, it just depends what admin is on, some will tell you not to do it and some wont. I could probably go into more inconsistent rules but you get the point. Like I said, I don't expect this to change anything really because I already know most of you disagree with me on principle already and/or hate me for what I've said or done in the past but I really do evaluate what you guys say to me and I'm not planning on breaking the rules. Thanks.
  9. I apologize in advance to any higher ups if I'm out of line making this thread So, what am I talking about? Why, none other than Conscientious Objectors. I've noticed there's no written rule about Objectors containing inappropriate content, much like our Spray rule, and this is a problem. Hell, I don't even know if such a rule exists, but it sure needs to. Nothing like having a moving porn spray whacking you in the back of the head on a map, . But having a rule in place for such a thing isn't the only reason I've made this thread. The real issue is having Staff members enforce a rule regarding nudity/derogatory content in sprays whilst having an Objector equipped with something equally as bad or even worse. Lemme run a scenario by you. A player joins and uses his spray. Perhaps it's a bit too revealing and it breaks our rules. A Staff member warns him about it and removes the spray. A while passes and that same player notices that the Staff member's currently equipped Objector contains the same damn thing. Why, that'd be embarrassing, wouldn't it? Hypocrisy among our Staff members, why never! Well, it happens quite a bit... More often than you'd want it to. "But Bone" you may be saying "It's just a little bit of nudity/lewd content. Don't be such a baby!" That's not the point. It's the principle of it. Even if there's no rule on it currently, Staff shouldn't be trying to circumvent the spray rule by putting it on a sign instead. We're supposed to be enforcing rules, not showing people how they can get around them. TL;DR: There needs to be a rule in place on Objector content/Staff shouldn't use Objectors to display imagery that wouldn't be allowed as a spray Tagging ALL TF2 staff members whether they like it or not for a potential discussion: @Basquiat @Vexx @mrnutty12 @Sesh @Vector @BonfireCentipede @Vacindak @Vargas @Elcark @ThunderLimes @YeEternalTuna @Kypari @Floppy @Parasect @LemonVolt @TheSupremePatriot @Ms.Spooks @Moosty @sick41057 @NitNat @Natsu @Blizzard @Hibiki @Spoopy @Amylicious @Thunder @Frusty
  10. Here's another announcement! But don't worry, it's actually good news for once! Rejects and I figured out how to make certain titles accesable to certain flags. As of today, staff has the option to wear titles according to their ranks. How to claim your title: Type !store. Select "Titles". Buy the according title, it's gonna look like this: These titles are obviously only visible and buyable for staff members. Server Mod looks like this: Server Admin looks like this: Titles will not replace tags for now, we'll have a discussion about that in the future and update you guys on this subject. Enjoy your titles, lads.

  12. Good Morning TF2 Staff, your designated Führer here with a special announcement regarding recent events. As we promote people, we advise you read the admin handbook to understand what your responsibilities are. I just want to remind you all of the standard protocol. [spoiler=An explanation of the WKB-System]How to make a proper punishment Some staff members sometimes ask themselves "Should I kick this guy?" or "Should I ban this guy?" or maybe even "How long should I ban this guy for?" These are very good questions to ask yourself before you actually do the slaying, kicking, banning or whatever it is that you are doing. The process usually goes like this for someone breaking a minor rule: Warn, then slay (sometimes optional), then kick, then ban. When you get to the point where you have to ban them, make sure to use your common sense for how long the ban should last. Don't permanently ban a guy for mic spamming. Ban him for about an hour to week depending on how badly they did it, if people told him to stop multiple times, etc. However, using the WSKB approach isn't always required. For certain situations you can instantly ban for situations like: -Majorly intending to troll the entire server. (A day ban) -Hacking (Permanent) -Mass freekilling (Permanent CT ban) -Mass freekilling then leaving the game (Permanent) -Taken from the admin handbook: Everything You Need To Know [admins, Servers, Handbook, Etc.] Additionally we added two new exceptions in order to make moderating easier: Important: Following protocol for punishments are important (Standard: Warn > Mute/Gag > Kick > Ban)! You should follow these steps as it is the best way to handle issues. However there is times that you can skip a few steps. For example: If a player is breaking multiple rules (ex: exploting and spamming), then you are able to jump to kicking the player from the server. If the user returns to the server and resumes doing what he was doing to get kicked for, then you should follow up with a ban. Majorly intending to troll the entire server will result in an immediate day ban. Your hosts @BelloWaldi and @Goblins signing out.
