  1. Valve is apparently banning server tokens that run plugins that have custom weapon models. they are also banning servers that give people items that you they don't have in their inventory (IE: !takeknife), which is nothing new. But some people are saying that servers are getting banned even for having some disabled plugins.

    /r/GlobalOffensive post: Valve blacklisting a bunch of community servers, nobody knows why • /r/GlobalOffensive

    Just thought I'd share it with xG.

    @Snackbar @Lithium @Bleed

    P.S: Might wanna watch out for premium skins and stuff for shop, look at top comment of /r/Games post:

    "CS:GO community servers provide valuable experiences to players and communities, and are serving more players than ever before. Over the past month, 3.1 mln unique players were observed playing on community servers and this number keeps growing each month.

    We're aware that some server operators are offering to their players false inventories and/or profiles as a free or paid service via mods on their servers. These mods inaccurately report the contents of a players' inventory and/or matchmaking status, devaluing both and potentially creating a confusing experience for players.

    Therefore, we are asking server operators to remove any mods and plugins that falsify the contents of a players' profile or inventory.

    To be clear, the services that should not be offered on a community server include (but are not limited to):

    Allowing players to claim temporary ownership of CS:GO items that are not in their inventory (Weapon skins, knives, etc.). Providing a falsified competitive skill group and/or profile rank status or scoreboard coin (e.g., Operation Challenge Coins). Interfering with systems that allow players to correctly access their own CS:GO inventories, items, or profile.

    If your server provides any of the above services then we request that you disable them. If for some reason you are unable or unsure of whether a particular plugin should be removed, feel free to contact us.

    We will continue to monitor the players experience on community servers, and may reevaluate if further actions need to be taken to ensure that server operators comply with the request above.

    Thanks,

    The CS:GO Team"

    Have no prior experiences with staff in xG servers. Had some in others during C:SS days.

    Information:

    We're low on staff and there are people constantly breaking rules, whether it be during peak time, or late in the morning. I'm usually on until late at night (4AM EST). With moderator powers, I can enforce rules better, by punishing those who break rules.

  3. Maybe lower the T mute time to something around 45-40 seconds. I find that whenever i have to tell a CT something, they never read chat, and I want to tell them they are breaking rules. Plus the fact that 1 minute is very long compared to other servers (some have it at 20 seconds).

  4. in regards to this, if a T is killed bc of their name showing up in the killfeed that is definitely not allowed..we had the same issue in css and basically made it so you cant kill someone solely based on the killfeed

    Do you really think CT's are gonna know that, especially new people? I mean CT's nowadays don't even know what a gun check freeze is. if they see someones name killing one of the CT's they'll know who is rebelling. More specifically if its someone in a stack, they'll make them unstack and kill him.

  5. Playing JB this morning, I have realized that the JB server is getting worse with bugs and problems as time passes.

    As of right now:

    • CT guns spawning in T cells (with CT's name on the gun, It's a issue with jb_lego_jail_v8)

    Some of these issues are minor, but they all add up. T's can't rebel because of their names showing when they kill a CT. And the fact that you can't even play a full game without a mapchange 5 rounds in.

    I'm glad that things are being added like !settings, but now it's time for serious bug fixing, otherwise more problems will probably pop up.

    @Bleed @Lithium @Snackbar

    EDIT: Some of the stuff I posted earlier was fixed. Removed from the list.

    Stuff that was addressed (Thx bbys):

    • After 5 rounds, a mapchange occurs (not done by RTV)(Fixed).
    • !call still doesnt work if no admins are on.(Might not be possible, RIP call BOT.)
    • Shot4Shot is still broken. (should be fixed next map change)

    • Tick rate is still 51.2 (Helps server load, maybe will change, who knows)
    • When a T kills a CT, it no longer hides which T killed the CT.(Fixed by Bleed)

    Thanks @Bleed and @Lithium for fixing the problems quickly! :D

  6. 3. Even If I have been a poor ct in the past few days, there is no marker or counter that counts everyone's minor mistakes. I have done wrong while being warden before, as everyone has, but I was punished for those. That is like when someone gets arrested multiple times for say loitering, when they get caught doing it again you put them in jail for a month or so. Everyone makes small mistakes and the ones i have made, were punished. They shouldn't be brought back up and punished for them again when I do something else.

    Even if you did small offenses, you still need to be punished if you broke them, no matter how small they are. Rules are rules. If people break rules when there is no mod on the server doesn't mean they should be allowed to break rules. These rules are there to make sure everyone has a good time in the server.

  7. How is telling people to leave a pit and restricting ladder and box not considered a trap command? It would be fine if you just did it after 7:00, but you didn't. People reported that you broke rules, there is evidence you broke one rule, and then Owl saw you commit more rule breaking.also Owl stated that he saw you throughout the week breaking rules here and there. you've been on the server long enough to know what is good and what is not.
