  1. Because both of them fit the most. Who else did you expect to see on the list? The guy you started a riot against?

The guy who I was big enough to publicly admit to being wrong about? If we're going to take the past into account when it comes to DM, then I fear for Egossi's position, my friend.

As a slight addendum, I was mainly curious about both contributions; Blank has been nothing short of pleasant!

(In less colorful language; CONGRATS, Blankuchan!)

  2. I agree with Kypari. The TF2 division has more active staff at the frontlines than Egossi..or..Blank? What have they done to contribute? I know it isn't my place to debate staff, but I don't see either of these "Division Managers" taking a proactive stance on server activity. Why were they promoted? How are they fit to be division managers over other potential options? Was it for merit? Was it for their tenure as a Xenogamers member? Why did they earn the position? I don't normally complain about promotions or demotions, but why?

  3. You do realize that the donation rule is for people who make staff applications right? And that mainly happens because those people can't get promoted by the higher ups due to them either being untrustable with powers either due to their lack of recognition or troubles they may have caused in the past, or them being seen as immature or unfit for staff position.

If you're in a financial situation or if you simply don't want to donate, all you have to do is show that you are capable of staff membership to the TF2 higher ups, it's really not that hard.

It's not entirely being "locked", you have clearly misunderstood.

that's kind of a rude thing to say if you ask me

    1. My understanding was that it applied to all methods of becoming staff. You prove a good point in that regard.

    2. I know this. The post had me under the impression that it would change.

    3. In a sense, yeah, I've misunderstood. Could've informed me in a more polite way, though.

    4. Why so? The concept of buying a job has always made little sense to me, especially when it's as stressful and difficult as being an xG staff member. Not only do few people appreciate what you do, but a lot of people don't really respect you unless you lift up the banhammer and dangle it over their head. It's a good thing, choosing to do that sort of thing. It's a bad thing to -HAVE- to pay for it, which again, I was under the impression that paying was mandatory.

  4. I can partially see a reason for donations, but locking the ability to moderate and help keep a community peaceful behind them just seems wrong to me. Why not keep the focus on the silly hats and walking bananas? Shouldn't you pay for perks, not for a job?

See, that's a problem. xG needs more money, but donations for staff positions are only gonna come up once and a while, and once you donate, you never have to do that again. People are gonna throw their money at silly perks, not a painful, arduous job that is, nine days out of ten, thankless.

(I was gonna add this all to my first post, but didn't. Oops.)

  5. I agree with Vixen here. It would be very unfair if people could "opt out" due to being a staff member previously. If they step down or quit, getting a free pass would be wrong, because they quit. If a person is not a donator already, and have made the choice to step down or quit, then they should have to abide to these rules.

What about the people who can't donate due to financial issues, or a lack of a proper platform to pay with? (Paypal, Mastercard, etc..) Will adding donating to the requirements really filter out bad staff members? Or is it purely due to xG being in financial straits?

...That being said, there are some people who I'd donate on the behalf of, if it meant that they could be a staff member. I can think of a few people who deserve the opportunity, but cannot afford it.
