  1. Any member who might have gotten demoted this week, will get a warning instead if it's due to their activity. We want to encourage members to improve their activity, before straight up demoting them for it anymore.
So... higher ups who have received multiple warnings for multiple cases of inactivity get another warning? With respect, someone please explain this to me and everyone else who wants to know? @Aegean

  2. Alright, I feel like suddenly everyone has an opinion on this, and guess what? that's just great, but I implore some common sense here

Again Inactivity and Lack of activity are two different things, and for those who know me, I've been hell active during the whole summer, after that, I've been also responding to jailbreak !calladmins while sharing wifi with my phone in the car when we were lacking staff, so, please dont question my commitment towards my staff position and towards this community, especially if you dont know me, or knew me via this promo/demo thread,

Now, if you are asking why I was inactive two weeks ago, ask @BlankuChan , He'll tell you that he got informed of my inactivity, and that, was due to the fact that the internet company was doing some repairs on my internet,

If you are asking why I'm not very active the last two weeks, and the answer is, I used to play on JB and VSH, and these two servers died, Now I play on Surf, not really intrested in the gameplay but because I find nice people there, and because, Pokemon and Tgh always have staff on, so I prefer joining a server with no/barely staff on, than join a server with 6 staff members on it, WHY ? what addition can I bring to the server ? + Being noticed ? +Becoming popular among staff ? +more play hours? And my answer for that, is "No thanks", I get on when I can get on, and I do my job as efficiently as possible, so before criticizing my number of bans and punishments, which is really a very ridiculous thing to evaluate a staff on, keep in mind that not every rule breaker is stubborn and that sometimes, a slay and a simple (all chat) message politely written is far more efficient.

I would like to remind the people who forgot, and inform the ones who don't know me, that I live in a country with a different time zone, GMT+1, it's 10:50pm here and should be 4:50 PM in 'New York' as an exemple, and when it's 10 PM in new york, it's 4AM for me, so by complaining about my lack of activity, you are either trying to convince me to move where you live, or join an empty server? or not sleep at all ? and FYI, I'm 24 yo and I have to work in order to survive, so I guess that, that one hour I join from 3AM to 4AM, where I try to keep the server peaceful while we get staff on, is in my opinion enough.

Now, one last thing. Since as @Caleb956 stated, people are under the impression that I'm stopping others from getting staff,

I've been a moderator for a while now, so that shouldn't even be brought up, and if it is then I could say the same thing

about all those people who leave to come back just to get staff, repeat the process. Just because more people are getting

staff, and there are always those people who want staff, I'm still doing what a mod is supposed to do, which is

moderate the servers, even if it's not as much as other people.

I'm not putting the blame on anyone here, this is my life, and just like I respect yours, respect mine.

Don't even pull the "Timezone" card. Four staff members are from the United Kingdom @BonfireCentipede @Rejects @Forge @Kypari , one Turkey @Egossi and another Germany @Bello , thats 8-10 hour differences across the board from an array of staff members, don't even try it. Both myself and @Rejects have jobs and go to college on a daily basis, and yet we can still keep our activity up. You are clearly incapable of being "active" or have "enough activity" to provide a decent day to day basis for our servers.

Myself, @Vacindak and @Rejects @Kypari are frequent visitors to surf alongside @Skeletal who is our recent addition and yet again you say barely anyone goes on the server.

Anyway, this conversation should end, as Aegean just posted. I already half way through my post so I didn't particularly want to delete it all. Apologies @Aegean

  3. Time to state my opinion on the reasons of your demotion Floppy!

@Floppy To be honest, you have no where near enough hours to be even considered as a moderator at this point, 8 hours is barely even noticeable on the servers. As a Moderator you represent the TF2 staff team, yet here we are with you arguing for your position as a staff member yet I barely see you on, hell a large amount of staff barely see you on. Not to mention your actual ban list is smaller especially for someone who's been a moderator since September 2016, do you actually follow the basic punishment hierarchy? It's quite simple really. Put simply: You are an extremely unorganised moderator.

    Warn - Gag/Mute/Kick - Ban

Punishments escalate in time each time you punish someone, instead yours are extremely inconsistent, you spend more time gagging/muting people than actually punishing people via the set punishment hierarchy.

    30 Minutes (Gag/Mute) -> 1 Hour -> 1 Day -> 1 Week -> 1 Month -> Permanent

The necessary hours should have stayed at 18 hours, it was much more suitable for staff members. We're meant to represent the staff team, if you aren't interested in playing on our servers then why are you even moderating them? @Kypari is not wrong in stating the activity, activity should be playing a big part in your position as a staff member, as for @Bello 's activity he handles the servers technical side, he spends less time on the server and more time fixing issues on the server, much like @Rejects except he spends time on the server also.

TL;DR Either show you're interested in moderating by being more active and start being more consistent or just don't bother, because you are neither of those things as of right now.
