Late Night/ Early morning Server mods

With all do respect there are a fair amount of people on our servers at the early morning hours of 4am-7am CT and theirs almost never a moderator or an admin on the servers then. So if its not too much to ask any chance we can get an admin on at those hours? I mean the servers are not at full capacity at these hours but they have at least 10-20 people on it at this hour. I mean I do what i can but without anyone there to enforce the rules all i can do is state them and ask people to slay themselves which most dont do. Generally i'd take a demo but most of them are just common mistakes that happen every once in a while but for some people who play on CT at these hours they rack up quite a bit of free kills....... Even some of our own members.......... Which is why im asking for some mods or admins to please be online at this time. If you dont wanna be in game thats understandable I can message you if theres a major issue.

is this EST time? cause i wake up at around 10-11am so i cant get on at that time, but i usually go till like 1-2 am or so

As a regular attendee of this timeslot (and indeed the Warden for a good many of those games), I can say that as long as there's at least one active person on a decent mic, everything tends to be in check. Yeah, we have unseasonally high rebellers at this timeslot, but rebelling is just part of the game, so who cares. As far as freekilling goes, it's impossible to go a decent-length session of Jailbreak at ANY timeslot without witnessing at least one freekill. It's a problem, sure, but just throwing moderators at the problem isn't going to fix it. Most freekillers will (even if they do it with reluctance) slay themselves next round, and those that don't tend to be the kind of people that are going to get banned anyway. Those kind of vicious offenders can simply be reported and admins can deal with them later that morning, but for the most part that's never the problem.

 

Trust me, I've played at max traffic early evening games, and I'd say that's probably actually more hectic than trying to keep people in check later at night. The ONLY thing that I feel would be handy as far as having a moderator during those times goes would be some help with team-switching just to make sure that there's always at least one or two decent, active, mic'd CTs at any given time, but beyond that things are fine as it is.

To answer your question Ero I am not asking for admin at all. I know enough people with admin on my friends list. I just wanted to bring it up so that people would know that sometimes there are some problems with it. The reason i messaged you at that time was because i was asked by a player to get an admin on. But after talking to him about the problem we resolved it without you. In-fact Ero I live about 20 minutes away from you so were on the same time zone. By the way i've been in the clan for like a couple of weeks now. If i was given admin powers I'd have to ask myself how the hell someone this new could get admin so quickly.........

 

Major I know i generally see you on at that time the problems occur when your on your break generally. From 4am-9am CT. I just wanted to let you guys know and see if anyone was on at that time that i just might not have on my friends list.

 

I was asked by two players on the server that i know very well now "Why aren't any moderators or admins on at this time?" So i was just posting this so i could give them a direct answer. My approach was because were a US based clan so at those early hours most of us are sleeping. But none the less i thought i should bring it up.

 

The biggest problem at this time is like Dysprosium said the team switching issue. The real flaw that caught my attention last night was that Colour didn't have his admin powers so he was kinda left helpless. Due to him getting a new Steam account. But that an easy fix i'm sure.

 

 

 

Anyways, my goal was to shed some light on the subject and thats what i've done now i can atleast direct those people who were asking me questions to this thread. Thanks for your responses guys im sorry if i wasted some of your precious time Jay Breeze.

Yea, I'm on early a lot, MajorB is there half the time, No worries, he's got dis, If there are no admins, record it.
