  1. A simple recommendation for all those who play Jailbreak.

    Learn how to have fun.

Really, it is quite tiring to see arguments over the rules that lead to nothing but wasted time and energy that doesn't accomplish anything. Read the MOTD to prevent these arguments. Hell, if you plan on Wardening, I may even recommend printing a copy for quick reference.

Which leads to the next point, wardens need to realize that like all games the point of Jailbreak is to have fun. Granted, some maps are shit and don't have much built in, but try to be creative. The thing I hate most is when the map is good and there's plenty of built in stuff to do and games to play, and the warden goes "ALRIGHT Simon says I'm simon simon says etc..." it's really just annoying and stupid and boring to death, not only for T's, but also the CT's watching, and for the dead people spectating. Another thing, have some damn personality. You want to entertain people, not just boss them around. Throw out a few jokes. Hell, even play in-character. That's what I do. The worst games are games that devolve into boring, unmotivated wardens that whisper into the mic "okay first reaction last reaction..."

T's, don't be afraid to rebel. And ask good rebels for tips. It's a lot more complicated to be a good rebel than just running off and finding a gun and maybe wasting a CT or two before you get peppered. Unless you're Segway. Then that will suffice.

And overall, remember it's a game, the point is to have fun, not get into "my cock is bigger than yours" arguments.

  2. Hello xG peeps,

Some of you may remember me, I departed a few months ago and said that I would return when shat is sorted out and all and my interest returned. Well, the shat has been sorted and the interest returned. My life is still insane but at least it is manageable, though I'll probably only still be able to play weekends. Good to be back with you guise, and I hope that I am accepted back with open, loving, and thoroughly battered and deep-fried arms.

  3. Ello my people.

I think I'm no longer going to carry the xG tag or play on the servers that much anymore. Why? To be honest, after just getting a new PC, my interest level in CS:S is at an all-time low. Not going to leave the community, I'll stick around, but I'm going to drop xG from my Steam and only occasionally play CSS. I may re-enlist when my interest increases buuut for now I'm gonna call it quits.

  4. Xenogamers,

my computer died. I think it was a mix of age, clutter, viruses, and gremlins raping it in the middle of the night that led to it not wanting to work. I bought a cheap laptop to use in the meantime, however with the adjective "cheap" comes a few downfalls; it can't play games well at ALL (it had tons of trouble playing CS 1.6) and therefore until further notice (I have no idea when, we're kinda broke) I'll be unable to play. I'm not dead, just sleeping.

  5. I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, so feel free to move if necessary.

A very unfortunate family tragedy has occured, and I may be off of XenoGamers for a while. I'm simply not in any kind of mood to play CSS or Minecraft or anything like that. How long? I don't know. I may be fine tomorrow, I may be a wreck until next week. I'm personally okay so don't worry about me. I'll probably still be on the forum a bit in this time.

    Thank you for your understanding,

  6. Whiteboy7thst anyone? Probably the best gamer alive and he's blind in one eye... Shot by a bb gun in the eye (****ING SUCKS RABID)

I also feel bad because i have like 20/12 vision and I use my eyes for computer/tv... one tip kids don't keep your brightness on high, and wear them fking sunglasses... Sunspots would SUCK to have, take pride in good vision!

Which eye is he blind in?

Oh, and being blind in one eye isn't a huge deal. Can't see 3D movies. That's about it. Yup, not too bad.

  7. Ero made a good point on a different thread, and I completely agree with him and the PG-13 rule.

although, I do agree with you on your last three paragraphs.

That was exactly the message posted in Mumble as well but I want it to be more prominent, and explained better in the rules.

  8. As a member of XenoGamers, I have a few recommendations for admins and some feedback on some recent updates that I personally believe would greatly benefit the community.

First I would like to say I am not attempting to tell anyone how to do their jobs, simply providing the opinion of an average member

Okay, the new PG-13 rule. I know Silence put a message on Mumble that went through it, but I think that this needs to be explained in other places because it is only day one and I have already seen misunderstandings, abuse, and general idiocy regarding this issue.

Also, I have seen a few admins that simply just didn't seem to be taking their jobs seriously. I am not talking about leaders like Silence, Yama, and other higher ups like Shikaku and Duckii, but it is more with people that have smaller admin responsibilities. A perfect example was on the JB server, where we sometimes have massive freekilling and admins on the server were doing something else and not assisting.

Another issue with some admins is a lack of good judgement. I've seen plenty of punishments that were either too excessive or too light. Kind of attached to this issue is the way that admins determine wether or not punishment is necessary, and some admins think they can bend the rules according to what their opinions are.

My main recommendation is that all members are looked over, and some admins are replaced. I also think it should be more difficult to become an admin. The reason I didn't post an admin abuse topic is because it is simply such a big problem that I can't single out any one or two people.
