I don't think I've ever played a game where I didn't see Johnny freekill, and in this particular game there were no mods on the server/only a few people. One round he simply DM'd us and freekilled in a couple others, and also gave invalid orders as a CT (then killed when people disobeyed). Anyway, after seeing him do it countless times I finally managed to demo him. This demo shows one round (sorry for not converting it to video as I'm not sure how), where Johnny basically just leads us around... I follow the orders as asked, and then he brings us to the soccer field. He tells us to pick a goal, etc, which we do, and after I hit the soccer ball a couple times he says "don't touch the soccer ball" just after I hit it for a last time and it rolls away. I run in its direction but stop when he gives the order - and though I have clearly stopped touching it he AWPs me a couple seconds later. MEGA

I've seen SeeJay do this a couple times now when mods aren't on the server. Just happened a few minutes ago on the CS:GO server. He freekilled a bunch of Ts while they were stacked up, just starting spraying with an AK and then immediately left the server... requesting a permanent ban as per the rules. It's still abuse, and it hasn't been reversed as of now. I'm aware that mods aren't gods but some of them (yourself) certainly act like it sometimes. I'm not a mod, nor a member of the clan anymore, and I am willing to admit that I make mistakes. I'm not a member of the clan because I don't want to have to care if I make those mistakes. You are a mod. Your job is not to permaban somebody after you threaten them, even if they do freekill a few people. Your job is to be level-headed, and not to abuse, which is why this thread is here.

Not trying to use that as a defense, simply trying to give the whole story. You seem to leave out the part where you permabanned me. Considering how I barely seem to see you on the server, and you cause trouble every time I do see you, I support my above statement despite how you've blown it off. And there are other mods I have a problem with but you are certainly one of the biggest ones. Your argument is that if I don't have proof, I shouldn't say shit. It's kind of hard to get proof if you don't demo constantly, especially in a server where mics are the primary method of communication as opposed to text chat. Your argument is that I can't prove you freeslayed me, therefore it was justified. That pisses me off, but whatever. I'm not using it as a defense because I can't prove it. I can prove that you permabanned me, though, and that even when you said it had been reversed it wasn't according to the bans log (which unlike you cannot lie).

See above. If that is what you read then I suggest you either re-read it or take an English class. I like Smoker and one time he freeslayed me because I was supposedly camping a vent, blah blah blah. I was pissed that nobody would do anything about it even after Smoker admitted that he was wrong, left the clan over it, eventually didn't care anymore. Smoker obviously didn't leave the clan.

Um, where did I say that? And I'm pretty sure that if I didn't post an abuse thread, you never would have changed that ban to a permanent teamban. The only reason you changed it is because now you know you're not getting away with it. I don't even think that is justified because I am, in general, a pretty good CT. Permanent bans should be reserved for those who mass freekill and leave the server. And if my ban really has been converted to a permanent teamban there is no record of that in the bans database, and I cannot enter the server as of now, so I'm going to call bullshit on that one.

If you want to get all technical, I suppose two years technically isn't "permanent". :rolleyes:

I don't have any hard proof, which I'm sure will get this thread shot down, but I have Trente testifying that Fair abused in the thread posted above. I was angry because Fair freeslayed me after I killed a terrorist I was supposed to kill (details in posted thread). He started threatening to ban me when I said that he freeslayed me. It also took almost a whole round for him to admit he even did it - I asked in admin chat who slayed me after I was killed and he took an awfully long time to respond. His threats got me so angry that I freekilled a few Ts the next round in protest (which obviously I shouldn't have done, but I was angry and in my experience reporting on the forums is futile). He then permabanned me for two years even though I didn't leave the server. I have seen Fair abuse more than any other mod on the server, but this is the first time I've been his target. Sadly, I don't expect this post will get anything done since I don't have a demo... the only reason I freekilled in the first place is because I never expect these admin abuse posts to work when they are supposed to.

Yeah, I know. But in the moment I was really pissed off, and in my experience I've pretty much NEVER had anybody do anything about a report, except for one instance with Smoker where I was really angry and left the clan over it. Even when I have proof, it is only screens (I don't demo unless I KNOW somebody is going to do something, which is pretty much never) which people don't really seem to take as hard evidence. Most mods seem to do their job pretty well, but there are a few that give them all a bad rep (in my mind). Fair is one of them. Pretty much every time I go on I seem him abuse, though this is the first time where I've been the victim personally.

I don't think I should be unbanned but the length of the ban that Fair gave me is absolutely absurd (2 years). I've been playing on the server for a long time and I shouldn't have done what I did, but I was angry because Fair had freeslayed me the previous round and was refusing to admit it - he gave me the typical mod answer (go to the forums and report it) even though I obviously wasn't demoing and would have no proof + nobody gives a shit anyway. I freekilled some terrorists a couple rounds later in protest because Fair was threatening to ban me for disagreeing with him even though a couple people were agreeing that I was freeslayed (details at bottom). TL;DR: I was pissed off about Fair freeslaying/threatening me so I freekilled some Ts in protest and he banned me for two years. I know it was wrong, obviously, but I was angry about him threatening me/abusing his status. I've only been server banned once before, for an hour, and I left the clan over it because it was unjustified. Asking that it be reduced because even though I'm sick of the shitty mods on this server I've been around for a long time, have been a clan member in the past, and enjoy playing there. I think a teamban or a significantly shorter ban would suffice. DETAILS ON FREESLAY: We were playing the roulette with a few Ts, one on red and three on black.. the warden freekilled the guy on red after saying that the color it landed on would live (and it appeared to land on black before slowly rolling to red). Warden should have waited for it to roll over - I did, and killed one of the Ts on black but then realized that at the same moment the warden had freekilled so I stopped. Even though I killed one of the Ts who should have died, Fair slayed me and said I was wrong. Then, he later changed his answer and said I shouldn't have just killed another guy after warden fucked up (even though I killed him pretty much at the same time).

1) yes, it took you 15 seconds to get through the vent. does that mean i was waiting 15 seconds for you to come out? no. it doesn't. like i said, i -saw- you going in the vent. i ran across the map, and arrived there the same time you did. 2) that exit was not anywhere near the armory. yeah, that's true, if i had done that, it would have been slayable. but that's a retarded argument. yeah, if i murdered a guy, i would be going to jail. but i didn't. 3) i would check to make sure (i'm not entirely sure) but i think there's only one exit to that vent. if there is two, then i am unaware of where the other exit goes to because i am dumb - i just went to the only exit from that vent that i actually know. it sounds like you don't know the map very well, neither do i, but if you're going to be banning people based on their location you should probably have a better idea of that than i do. at the very least leave it at a slay, and not a teamban, especially when you didn't know for sure. i don't consider this semantics or bending the rules, because i saw Ts going into a vent, and i ran to where they were and killed them as they were coming out. in no way was this vent camping - i was never in the vent, i wasn't even in the same room as the vent entrance until i killed all the T's, and most importantly at no point was i sitting in one area, i was constantly moving. in short, stop making judgement calls if you have bad judgement.

[[ Don't know if this is the right place to post this, expect it will probably be moved. ]] I've been playing on the xG servers for almost a year now, and it's been a nice ride, except in the last few months when things have seemed to go seriously downhill. I experienced a small case of abuse today which was the straw that broke the camel's back, as I've seen a lot of mod abuse in the CSS Jailbreak server lately. I don't know if it's the people being selected to be mods, or the fact that there's just so many (as there are plenty of great mods and you probably know who you are). The problem isn't that these things are happening, it's that there is simply no way to fight against it. I've been the victim of mod abuse a number of times - don't get me wrong, there are times when I've disobeyed rules, and deserved the punishment, and I take it when I do. But there are times when the mods get it wrong, and a GOOD mod realizes this when it happens. A bad one doesn't care and tells you to suck it up, no matter what your punishment was. And if you argue? Well, you're disrespecting a mod by challenging their decision, asking for an explanation, wanting to know -why- you're being punished for something you didn't do, either because they genuinely believe that you've done it without proof, or they're simply full of it and don't care. Well, I've sucked it up as much as I can. I still have a desire to play on the servers and will probably continue to do so, but as a result of these experiences I no longer have any desire to be in xG. I'd say that down the line I'd be interested in coming back if these issues were resolved, but frankly I don't think they ever will be. I've seen the mods get more and more strict with people for breaking rules as time goes on, which is a good thing. But mods are wrong, too, and when they are wrong they need to be punished just like anybody else - and because they've become more strict, they make more mistakes, and the need for that punishment increases because they're handing out more slays, teambans, bans, what have you. Unfortunately, that pretty much never happens here. Sorry to the -good- mods of xG and the great people who play on the servers (especially those who I've played with for almost a year). I typed up a whole reply to what was posted in the other thread, only to realize when I went to post it that it was closed. Since nobody seems to take admin abuse seriously here, I give up. I just wanted to help out when I saw an actual case of admin abuse and was a victim of it. Frankly, I'm offended that the thread was closed especially after $moker practically admitted that he didn't see me doing anything and then EZ followed up by saying that no abuse had occurred. All I wanted to do was help out, but this is seriously ridiculous.

How else am I supposed to get him to admit he was in the wrong, then? He wouldn't listen to me at all, despite the fact that I'd done nothing wrong. I know I can't prove that here, but it's -really- frustrating to have someone act like that towards you and know they're going to get away with it just because they're a mod. I knew that the terrorists were coming through the vent, as I SAW them go in, so I ran to the other end. I was in another room, and I couldn't even see the vent when I killed the first one, because he opened up the door I was running at. I'm sorry that I didn't drop it, but as it's made painfully clear here, complaining against mod abuse does nothing. I won't even protest the server ban, but just the slay/CT ban. I didn't really disrespect, but I didn't drop it when he told me to - but that was only because I knew that he was in the wrong and he wouldn't admit it (and still won't, obviously). I wasn't 'raging' after I asked if you weren't there. The only reason I asked is because I knew the moment I mentioned anything to another mod, you would ban me. Should I just sit there and let you abuse?
