  1. Ads are important, drlee said they provide funds to pay off servers, its not to much to wait 30-60 second ad to play a game, I think its a great idea, servers have been glitchy someone needs to get on that gag glitch.

its apparent that all the servers are significantly less populated. less people means less ad views, and can ultimately lead to less people donating. cause who wants to pay to keep servers alive when the servers aren't even sufficiently populated? we need to decide what's more beneficial for the clan.

  2. 2 weeks ago when i would go on JB during non peak hours (say right after school) there would be enough people to play. Now ill get on at the same time and there are maybe a few people on, which makes playing JB not fun at all. now im not saying ads are the sole reason for this, but they are definitely contributing. we dont get new people to join the servers and these ads are hurting us more than they can help. we need to come to a consensus on this soon.

  3. but in all seriousness. these ads are a deterrent for new people who stumble upon our servers. can you imagine going to some random server only to have to wait 50 seconds before you can play? especially on servers like minigames where the maps are constantly changing. how much money are we honestly bringing in per month on these ads?

  5. It might be caused by a bad connection or something, I don't know, it's random, the sound from file thing would unlikely be the cause.

Did you try "sv_user_steam_voice 0"? I've read that it's fixed some problems on steam forums and that the problem is server side. Apparently there was a patch a while back that did something to the audio, and setting it to 0 reverts it back to when it worked better.

  6. It seems to only occur in css. my mic works fine in all other programs like teamspeak, skype, etc. I think what may be the problem is the server has sv_user_steam_voice set to 1 when it should be set to 0. this is just my guess as to how to fix the problem. it seems like half the time i use my mic it kills everyone else's audio and the quality is really poor. if anyone has another fix idea please respond to this post.

    thanks!

  7. It seems like me and some other people have bad mic issues whenever they play a valve game. for me, sometimes when i use my mic everyone else's audio cuts out and the quality is really poor. this is not the case for any other application on my computer. does anyone know how to fix this?
