    I take two weeks to get prepared for the next school year and have my classroom in order, and I come back to the site being completely different, CLs being voted off the island, who the f is Aegean, and all sorts of other nonsense.

    Here's the truth of it.

     

    The rule was in place forever. The rule was also ignored forever. Not once since I've been on the decision-making team for TF2 staff has donations EVER been considered when we picked candidates for staff.

     

    Arguing that it is, in some form, a quality control mechanic is erroneous. It hasn't been a deciding factor for a good, long time. The rule was being ignored, so we petitioned to have it removed.

     

    Initially, we met with resistance on @Rhododendron's part, but something changed his mind and he agreed to have it removed.

     

    It was never a paid position. It was also never a deciding factor. It was a useless rule that wasn't being enforced, so we nixed it. That's all.

     

    Try not to make a big deal out of it.

    So I have a question i'm a mod for the CSGO division and i haven't donated IF i step down do i have to donate to reapply?

     

    Active staff will not be required to donate in order to keep their positions. You're good. But if you step down, I'm not actually sure how that will work. @Rhododendron, input?

    Wasn't my call. Rhododendron has wanted this to be a requirement since the dawn of time, but nobody has been upholding the rule.

    For the record im in the middle of a major job switch as well as a major move. Higher ups were informed that my activity will resume after the first.

     

    Also, I got the job because I busted my fricking butt getting this place up and in good running shape when the csgo division came back to life in august. I did TONS of work getting it to the point where it runs itself pretty smoothly.

     

    Im never far, if anything needs done all you need to do is steam message me.

     

    Snackbar let EVERYONE know of his inactivity more than two weeks ago. Was he gone for too long? =/
