HaplessIdiot 1 Posted November 8, 2013 Well I got tired of waiting for valve to release steamOS and installed Zorin 7 on my second HDD. My avg FPS changed from 240 to 270 in source games. I am satisfied quite much. If you wanna give it a go check it out Zorin OS - Home It's got wine and PlayOnLinux built-in so it runs most windows games. EDIT: Forgot to mention I run windows 8. denwaotoko 0 Posted November 14, 2013 Do you use Nvidia or AMD line of graphics cards? I've never been a fan of AMD's awful support on Linux, but it'd be awesome to hear if it's changed since the last time I've had a whack at it.

denwaotoko 0 Posted November 15, 2013 Never had an AMD card, how bad was it? Enough for me to go from a HD 6870 to a second-hand GTX 260 to just test some things. Regardless, sounds pretty awesome how you're getting a higher framerate on Zorin :D

The performance before was just pitiful.
