Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 1, 2014 Was playing on the pokemon trade server this morning. After 10 minutes it disconnected me and when i tried rejoining it wouldn't let me. I've tried connecting multiple times and i know its not a server issue because a bunch of people are on it already. Does anybody know the problem? ~derpy
Barmithian 63 Posted May 1, 2014 I don't know anything about this. It has never happened to me. Anyways, I'll tag staff on the pokemon server who might know about this. @kbraszzz @John_Madden @Gwoash 1 2 Bach, Tsuchikure and Boswer_jr reacted to this
Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 1, 2014 really weird. I noticed when i dc'd a bunch of other people left at the same time. :?
Gwoash 0 Posted May 1, 2014 what happens when you attempt to join back?
Goblin 154 Posted May 1, 2014 Its done that to me before. Its probably the motd. Go into a random tf2 server and type "cl_disablehtmlmotd 1" (in the console) then try joining again. 1 Boswer_jr reacted to this
Goblin 154 Posted May 1, 2014 Btw @kbraszzz @Nomulous lots of people have had problems like this where they couldn't join certain servers because the motd would crash their game once they joined. 1 Boswer_jr reacted to this
Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 1, 2014 Yes, That worked. I guess that was the source of my problems. Thanks 1 Goblin reacted to this
Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 1, 2014 wait. i dc'd and i tried rejoining and it wouldn't let me again. I did the thing that you told me to do but it still won't connect. It worked once. Disconnected. Connection failed after 4 retries
Gwoash 0 Posted May 1, 2014 oh that problem, it can happen on jailbreak servers too, not only the trade servers! the solution to this, is to go into your tf2 properties through steam, like so Screenshot by Lightshot "set launch options" then place +clientport [insert your ip] you can find your ip on this website > What Is My IP | The IP Address Experts Since 1999 or even MoanMyIP.com - Sexy Girls Moaning Your IP Address! [NSFW] ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ex. +clientport 11.21.24.16 hopefully it helps, and if it doesnt... well shit 1 Boswer_jr reacted to this

Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks for trying though. I still cannot find the source of this problem. It let me on Once. Then it wont let me on again
Boswer_jr 0 Posted May 2, 2014 Okay, So i was messing around with my settings on steam. My highest ping setting was 250/M. I changed it to 5000/m and it seemed to work. Even though i don't experience any lag
