Athrun 6 Posted March 7, 2016 Hey guys after 3 years I'm finally upgrading my Gpu. The Gpu I have now is a Nividia GTX 645 and I was looking at replacing it with a Msi-Nividia Geforce GTX 970 4GB . I wanted to know your thoughts on the Gtx 970 and if any of you have it what you like and dislike about it would be wonderful. :)

ChickenPanda 66 Posted March 8, 2016 970 is a great option for a GPU. You will probably be able to max out most games and play at 60 fps with the 970. I completely agree the 970 is a great option, just keep in mind you might also need a new power supply to support your new GPU. Most high-end GPU's require at least a 550W power supply. PiNoYPsYcHo 39 Posted March 16, 2016 Make sure you got a good power supply hell even cpu+motherboard can affect it (due to bottleneck) The better the motherboard+cpu = the better the fps. You don't want your GPU to bottleneck.
Vertex 32 Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) Most high-end GPU's require at least a 550W power supply. GPU recommended power specs are always higher than required. They consume a set amount of power much like other components do. A 450 watt power supply can handle the gtx 970 with your typical Intel processor.
