Thorax_ 539 Posted August 21, 2017 (edited) The solar eclipse is less than 24 hours away! Are you excited? This is the first Solar Eclipse visible across the whole United States of America in almost 100 years! Remember to be safe when viewing the eclipse, Safety | Total Solar Eclipse 2017 Sunglasses will NOT protect your eyes, not even putting 5 on at once will protect. This thread is where you can share comments you have about the solar eclipse. Do not take pictures! It can and WILL destroy your light sensor on your camera. PLEASE BE SMART & DONT BLIND YOURSELF, THE EFFECTS ARE DELAYED UP TO A FEW DAYS AND THE DAMAGE IS PERMANENT. james8470 160 Posted August 22, 2017 I got to see it at it's peak during school today, used some special glasses which let you stare directly at the sun, and saw a nice half-moon where the sun was, less than half covering the sun. It was kinda interesting to see how things looked with different lighting as well. Welp, that's about exciting as it got :P
