Heisenberg 1 Posted February 19, 2012 My modem is barely working. The connection is really slow and cuts out every 30 minutes for about 3 minutes. Optimum said the soonest they can get someone to come over here and replace it is tuesday, so I'll most likely be inactive till then :.(

Heisenberg 1 Posted February 21, 2012 @request close Yep lol. Inb4 serbian closes it before you ;3 ---------- Post added at 06:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 PM ---------- Update: Having the same issues again. It must be my shitty service causing the problem now. Fuck, man, just fuck. What a POS company that can't do thier job right. I had to spend 80 (I think?) to replace the modem and now the connection still goes down. Whatever. Just close this thread lol
Reflex 2 Posted February 22, 2012 Well, I recommend Verizon FiOS . It had no problems with me so far and the plan is pretty cheap. FiOS uses fiber optic connection, so you won't really have to worry about a modem. You'll just need the cable box and the router.
Rhododendron 994 Posted February 22, 2012 Ehhhh Fios is a bit of a rip off. They share the FO connection with hundreds of users so it's not like it's a dedicated line, so you will only get something as fast as cable :/ If you want something nice, ask your parents for an OC connection! Here are the rates: OC-3 - 155 megabits per second (100 T-1s) Ave. cost $20,000.-$45,000./mo. OC-12 - 622 megabits per second (4 OC3s) no estimated price available OC-48 - 2.5 gigabits per seconds (4 OC12s) no estimated price available OC-192 - 9.6 gigabits per second (4 OC48s) no estimated price available

Though , OC - 768 is the fastest :D. It is 40 gigabits a sec, I only have 15 MBPS. I feel ashamed.
