DeftHeart 0 Posted August 31, 2012 Alright. So I've been trying to play Counter Strike Source recently, and my ping is blocking me from doing so. My ping usually stays steady and frozen at ~150 - 300 ping. It's been happening since the timed MOTDs. I used to be able to play with occasional spikes, but now it's a constant lag. My person appears to stand still then jump all over the place when trying to move. So I don't know what's going on, but can anyone help me? I really enjoyed playing the surf and such. Thanks. PapiChulo 7 Posted August 31, 2012 Call your ISP and curse them out for your shitty Internet. Relieves stress. All they'll tell you to do is to unplug and plug your modem in again. (they suck at giving advice)
Pandaman09 0 Posted September 3, 2012 Or ask nicely if you can get your internet upgraded since its sooo shitty that you cant even play games :3 (Nicer = better response)
DarkWolf6052 0 Posted September 3, 2012 Either call your ISP, like suggested, or restart your modem and/or router both, leave them off for 5- 10 minutes; unplugged. Then plug it back in. Another idea to check what your speed is, go to Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test and test your speed/ping/etc. Don't use pingtest.net, your ping is calculated in speedtest.net.
