The integration of the ranks into the forums has caused player chat histories to be censored, could you guys do something about that?

So if I bought the "Blaze it" teamspeak server group in like 2014 or something, and it was removed later because of family friendliness or somethinv, do I get a refund or the new "420 blaze it" server group Silence can confirm he gave me "Vape" as a joke/repayment but that's probably gone now too. I just want blaze it again plz fam.

Is mapper just for Counterstrike because @ColdEndeavour has done a lot of work on tf2. His xG only map isn't in the rotation anymore but any map he makes only gets posted here and gamebanana and we use at least 4 of his maps that I know of.

No the mapper tag is for all divisions, We will give the tag to the people who helped in tf2 as well

It's a coin-toss really. When a perm'd player comes back to post a Ban Protest, and (90% of the time) the ban reason is incredibly vague or is lacking in detail, the only other way to determine what happened is the Staff Member who dealt the ban providing some context (assuming he/she even remembers or is around to even post). If the Admin is removed like Chrono said, they won't appear on Source Bans and at that point Staff will only have the offender's facts/information to rely on validity.

 

Sort of related, but one of the reasons I'm pushing for Staff to include either "int mf" or "acc mf" (intentional mass freekill vs accidental mfk) in their ban reason is to avoid situations exactly like that from occurring in the future. Either way, if possible, Staff should (at the very least) be detailed in their perm bans to as a precautionary measure; just on the off-chance that the player posts a Ban Protest.

The reason I ask is because I doubt staff who have left 4-5 years ago will come back to the forums just to post why they banned so and so, nor might they remember any details past their ban reason (which would still be there even if you remove that said staff from source bans as ban reason doesn't disappear as far as I know)

People who mass freekill accidentally wouldn't be server banned nor should be perm banned from team either if it was determinable that it was truly accidental, of course unless they left the server but even then if it was accidental why would they leave the server instantly to receive a server ban in the first place. Regardless, I do agree with bans having more detail is something that staff should strive for as it saves a lot of time for future protests and prevents drawn out "he said she said" scenarios.

Ninja edit: Regardless, I think Chrono is right that as long as it's not an issue to people with sourcebans to navigate through people who used to have powers and who have powers currently, that keeping the people in sourcebans for clarity is a good enough reason to not remove them.

but the whole point of hub originally was to unify the donation system and have it be a single central donation thing. that way someone donates $20 they get $20 of credits they can use on whatever, instead of $20 donation and choose: $20 credits or $20 donation package for TF2

 

correct me if I am wrong in that, but to me it would make sense to merge everything into hub and give people what they already donated for. it would also clean up sourcebans if we can remove all those people that have "admin" because it just gives them different custom flags in it for TF2 donations (there are literally like 420 different sourceban power groups for it, donator, super donator, ultra donator, mod xyz admin xyz)

Maybe in the future for TF2, but there's no reason to change their donation system as it is right now, nor do we know for sure if Minecraft will use credits or another system.

@Egossi from what I know @Bleed has been dedicating time to fixing stuff on the TF2 side, and @Nomulous is coming back in Sept so TF2 will be more than taken care of soon. Definitely let them know what's going on or make a thread on the TF2 section and tag them

I believe Silence can, and I do want Nomulous back, but he hasn't even been on forums for about 4 weeks+, possibly on vacation. If he comes back we'll give back his powers and rank back if he has any interest.

I do kind of like the idea of "community leader" but I might rename it I dunno. Silence refuses to be a sole rank, so I'll just share Co-leader with him, and I think i'll keep the rank of Community leader for now as it is, but demote a few high up staff who are inactive. Next promo demo more things will be clear (:

I would not call majority of Dev "main xG". Or a better way to put it, not even half of our "main" xG players went to Dev.

They are every 2 weeks on the monday, but because there were lots of people leaving I delayed it by an extra 2 weeks to get our bearings, so to speak.

We will have updates every couple weeks from all our divisions, they will be short blurbs from our div leaders, and co-leaders! We will try to make them as entertaining as possible, hope you guys will enjoy it, this should make our homepage more fun! :D
