  1. I Think we that we should have some sort of system in place where if people just spam the forums, then they have the ability to make credits off of their post removed. They can still post on the forums with whatever they want, but they can't earn credits off of their post. Don't know how it'll work, but it's a thought.

  2. disrespect "rule" is a cop out to abuse people by mods typically, but also admins who be oversensitive

    ITS THE INTERNET

    sack up

Having the disrespect rule is not a "cop out".

Example 1: Admins who get disrespected while trying to manage the server by some random idiot on the internet is basically saying to me that they don't care about the Admin. They are also saying that they do not care about the rules in doing so, since they are disrespecting an authority figure. If you go up and disrespect a police officer you aren't going to get very far in doing so, nor is it a good idea. What if I ask someone a question like "Why you kill another inno while you were inno?" and they answer me disrespectfully or in a sarcastic matter. They once again sow me that they don't care about the rules.

Example 2: Lets say a guy named Adam is getting insulted by someone named Bob. This can lead to problems like RDM from Adam, more than likely against Bob for the insults. Even through Bob started it with insults and slander toward Adam to get him mad. Bob will claim Rdm, and cause us to have to punish Adam due to him doing whatever he decides to do, like rdm on just him or on a masive scale. Leaving Bob to insult more people, and being free to do as he please, causing problems on the server and stopping people from having fun do to someone being an ass and disrespecting. Now let say we have 10 people Just like Bob on the server, then we get into a lot more problems and have a less friendly playing environmental. I am not defending this type of behavior, but disrespect can cause problems for everyone, and not just the person being insulted.

Also one more quick note. YOU may not be insulted by people on the internet, but OTHER PEOPLE can be insulted.

  3. I thought we were all big kids here, I guess not. If you can't handle being called a fag or a

shitty *insert title here* than you shouldn't be playing in my opinion.

You do realize that it's not as simple as "Being a Big kid" and handling insults right? Trust me, if you have enough people making fun of you and keep doing it constantly than it can hurt you, especially when you come home from a really bad day and just want to relax and have some fun, only to have a ton of insults flung right at you. Also if you have the choice between

Clan A of which has nice people, good admins, and are just people who play the game to have fun.

    or

Clan B of which has assholes, admins that do nothing about them, and are people who contently yell and scream insults at each other.

Than tell me which clan you would rather be in to play games, which are meant to be played for fun and enjoyment.

Not to mention the amount of really good people we have lost do to the way the clan has been behaving towards other players.

  4. How about we stop posting threads about this, and just get along.

Because it's a huge problem and it needs to stop, but it doesn't and nobody enforces the rules. We keep letting the idiots into the clan that troll and disrespect people.

    Game Fails to start

There is an issue in which the Steam Version of the game (And possibly non-steam) will fail to start. The Rockstar Social club login pops up, but after you sign in, or go offline, the game fails to start. This is caused by an out of date Games for Windows Live Client. You can download the client here.

Download the Games for Windows Client | PC Games Client

You may have to start run this program each time you want to play.

Unfortunately, however, updating the client may not be the only issue preventing you from logging in to Games for Windows Live. It could also be a problem with your MTU size. To determine what your MTU size is, open a cmd window (click Start, type cmd, press enter). Once in the cmd window, enter the following command:

    C:\>netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces

This will show you the MTU size currently set for all of your network interfaces. For your account to be able to log in, the MTU size must be set to 1500. If it is not, a quick fix is to just force the change in with:

C:\>netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1500 store=persistent

Assuming, of course, that "Local Area Connection" is the name of your network interface. Note that even though we set "store=persistent", this change will not be permanent and will be lost on reboot.

If the game loads as a process under Task Manager, but disappears after a while, run GTAIV.exe under compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 or higher. In Windows 7, this can be found under the Programs tab of the Control Panel.

Also bookmark this site, as it's a VERY good site for any problems you might run into on PC.

  6. I see this causing problems. Since if a ton of people join CT and all have immunity to CT switch things would easily get stacked.

But another idea is to allow admins to give the really good CTs and wardens the immunity from being kicked off CT. Just so long as they don't abuse it by only giving it to themselves and friends.
