Look for tutorials, You should work on your colors and composition mainly. IMO

But srsly tutorials are a good source.

I'm just saying because sigs are the most common type of amateurish gfx you'll find on the internet, and since a lot of people does it, there are a lot of resources, which means, lots of tutorials. It's a good way to improve.
