Testing out Demo Recording.

Hi guys, i need your opinions on application to view/record demos on Cs:s

 

Most people use Fraps, or Xfire. But personally i use Overwolf which can be found on the TeamSpeak Website.

I been fiddling with the settings and have improved it dramatically so my demos will be alot more visible.

Also Watch in 720 for higher visiblity.

as you can see you cant really see the names and its a bit fuzzy

 

After 45 fps

You can see a major improvement as text and names are now readable.

 

After 70 Fps

A improvement as when moving with the camera you can still see the name and text

 

If anyone is looking for a good Program i recommend using Overwolf, its free and can do alot more then fraps.

This makes me wanna get on more seeing these shooting in stack shananigans but with work and such it's hard for me to get on during the day since this Sunday was my only day off and I spent the majority of my day doing yard work with manly tools!

I tired it and it looks like shit compared to FRAPS, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I got it set to 1080p, 40fps and I get worse FPS (most of the time) and lower quality with overwolf than I do with FRAPS on the same settings

did you try changing the size from Half Size, to Full size? that what i changed and i also messed around with the fps. Also remember OverWolf is still new, there sure to be updates. I dont really like fraps as it lags me majorly.

Yeah I tried recording in half and full sizes and they look just about the same quality when I play them full screen XD

 

EDIT: Look at how perfectly crisp and shiney this video is in 1080p fullscreen @@Sporky . This is worth the horrible fps :p

Fraps never works for me, just doesnt work with me, and besides Overwolf lets me do alot more things then Fraps :P

Look in settings for that, you can also make it save where ever you want in settings also.

 

Overwolf: Settings>Video>Video Folder

Fraps: Movies tab> "Folders to save movies in"
