Host a l4d2 lobby and type this into your console. L4D2 has a lot of bugs, greifers and outdated performance specs. This changes that by offering a superior semi-vanilla experience. For starters, 4460 perm bans on our list cannot access the server, the tick rate is doubled from 33 to 66, quite a few bugs/exploits are fixed and multiple mechanisms are in place to prevent greifing. Like @xGShadowSpy stated, it doesn't cost anything to run. Furthermore, it has contributed over 150 permanent bans to the list. (less trolls for moderators to deal with on other servers) Lastly, there's a high chance in having a l4d3 server when it comes out.

I got your message in admin chat and sent you a pm back. Whether or not you seen that message is beside the point. The following round, you took it into your own hands, intentionally RDMed him back and left the server. It's just an one day ban, which will expire tomorrow. If there's one thing you should learn from this, it's not to take matters into your own hands. Your RDMer was actually sent a warning. (believe me, I didn't like the admin disrespect he sent back) If you got RDMed again, your RDMer would have received a three day ban. The second you RDMed him back and left the server, removed any chance of him getting banned, and got you banned instead.

@Sgt.Assault That map is almost 1gb in size. (equivalent to five maps) It's far too large to be added in the workshop collection for client download. If you really want I can ask one of my administrators with an faster upload speed to put it on the server, but generally not an map everyone is going to have. p.s the l4d maps website is never used anymore, all the maps are on workshop now.

@BaconOdy The maps aren't necessarily updated versions, they are simply retextured. I was holding off on that because wasn't sure which texture types players would enjoy the most. None the less, the performance impact between both versions. I know there's already countless performance issues with the game-mode. (see at post bottom) Tryed to get @Demonkush 's mor_temple_v1 map working but had problems getting weapon spawns to work even with the more recently released arming files. The furthest I got was getting the countdown timer and players spawning working. The problem with one of these systems is there would be frequent abusers, given the large number of younger members in the community. Do you have any previous moderating experience? I'll take your word for it and go ahead and ban him. If he truly was jumping around on different servers hacking, he won't take the time to make an ban protest, I can almost guarantee it. But if an protest is made, I will have to remove it tho unless proof/witnesses can be found. What was the date and approximate time it happened? There's existing chat log archives which can possibly prove it. Also is there any sort of video or demo proof of him hacking even on other servers? @Demonkush hasn't released this version of the gamemode. The server does however have anther modified version of the gamemode running with mainly bug fixes, performance enhancements and many quality of gameplay improvements. Simply use the @symbol in-front of an chat message to contact online server administrators. Yah I tried to get an system working in the past for that, but had to remove it due to an bug which was causing no maps to appear in the map voter. Since then I haven't had time to do much more in terms of coding. Since you're likely wondering what I'm up to next. Added couple check tables awhile back and the next thing I know players were spawning in a few seconds faster on game start. Found similar bad coding practices in the entity code which impacts server resources and client frame rates, just started improving that a few days ago. As far as content goes, if there's links floating around anywhere can take an look at it. If the coding practices are decent will consider adding at to the server. I don't plan on coding any myself unless they're simple and not very time consuming. The first priority is improving quality, fixing bugs and increase performance. The game-mode is broken in many ways, have solved some issues but still have a lot more to go.

Yeah the ban I casted was just an temporary one day. Constantly leaving and rejoining ruins the game for others since l4d2 servers only have eight slots. It was casted after you left, so unless you were constantly jumping between in-games all day (there's over 100 at any given time) you would not have even noticed it. ______________________________________________________ Furthermore, if you don't wish to play with us, I fail to see the point in the ban protest. While people are busy griefing on official servers, we're getting actual games in on high performance. Of course any gameplay changes we run are minorly trivial. Most plugins are utilities, hacker prevention, exploit and bug fixes and high ping kicker etc.

Yeah lieing to try and get unbanned doesn't help your case. If you take responsibility and post back in anther year or so I'll reconsider an reduction. ~Thread Closed~

@RichKnight Hi.

Kiggles cannot be trusted to be on the server without an administrator present. He has harassed many people non-stop to the point where some didn't feel welcome to join the server. This ban will stay permanent without any chance of being lifted. ~Thread Closed~
