I mean, not a huge fan of vote kick/mute/ban. I think it's way too easily abused. That said though, It could work if done very carefully though. Voteban shouldn't be added whatsoever though, if somebody needs banned call a staff member, vote kick and vote mute dont have that horrible of repercussions if abused, but vote ban on the trade servers, if abused, would be a major problem. Ban powers are staff only for a reason. That shouldnt change, votekick and votemute could work though.

FFS people -1 that have never played with him in game, he's forum active (literally nobody can deny that). He's server active. Not once have I had an issue with him in game (and we have played a lot of tf2 together, going back years). -1 if you want guys, but you've never even met the guy. He genuinely didn't know about the map changes, I've known him long enough to know when he's being genuine, and he had genuinely never seen rusty bucket bay, or knew that saturn valley and abstract were gone. This whole shitstorm wasn't even necessary, because vector already convinced enough ignorant people to -1 that he wouldn't have made it in. I know him well, he isnt an asshole, he's more than active enough, so my +1 will stand, impersonation of name and photo and vector telling everyone in teamspeak to -1 him or not. I genuinely think he should be accepted into the clan.

what i don't get is that @Vector is the type of guy who would screenshot somebody impersonating him. had he seen it, he would have screenshotted. none of this really adds up and there is no proof.

well if he stopped playing tf2 in may, then vector's story doesn't add up. i'm not sure the policy on impersonation if the user never impersonated in game or on the servers (not counting offline games), so it's up to the CL's at this point

i wasn't there, it was months ago, i was thinking of something else. i looked at the proof, and the timeline doesn't add up.

he should be punished, i just don't think impersonation offline is as major of an offense as impersonation on the servers, and there is no proof he ever impersonated on the servers. i don't think having someones name as a joke and never actually impersonating on the servers is in the same league as pretending to be staff while playing on the servers

so you mean his name wasn't even the same as in the proof posted. too far back to be in his aliases. so you're telling me you have literally zero proof this occured, and want to stop someone from joining because you said so.

but we have proof that it was a lie, there was a 2-3 month period where he wasn't on tf2 AT ALL. the proof falls within that timeline. one side is obviously lying about the rusty bucket bay incident, and we have a good amount of proof that it wasn't swift. and no, i don't think rule breakers should be able to join, but i'm not at all convinced what he did deserves this punishment. I also don't think someone should be barred from joining because a few people don't want him too. his steam name was [xG:A] Vector, that much is undeniable. but we have proof that he was never on the servers, zero proof that he was. is having a steam name while playing offline games and never going on xG servers really a permable level of impersonation. he could have been on the servers and pretended to be vector. HE DIDN'T. a warning may be in order, but not allowing him to join is overkill.

Serious question. Is there like a statute of limitations on this kind of thing? Ive seen this proof before, it's months old and I saw it on the forums when it first happened. Not taking sides, but if nothing was done about it then are we even allowed to punish someone months later for the same offense they weren't punished for originally. In 'murica we have double jeopardy, if you're found innocent you cant be tried again for the same crime. Does that apply here's as well?
