BertMacklin 0 Posted January 24, 2015 Hi all! I've been saving up my money and I have amassed around $800 from shoveling driveways, walking dogs, watering plants etc. I was wondering if anyone who knew more about tech then me (everyone) could recommend something that is around my budget and will preform better than my brother's older mac laptop. I know that $800 isn't much to go on but anything helps a tech idiot like me.
Goblins 580 Posted January 24, 2015 pcpartpicker.com/guide/hNPxFT/modest-gaming-build Around $800 (doesn't include shipping prices by the way). Good parts and a decent rig for stuff that you will probably run. Might want to bump your budget up to $875 maybe if you want this build. It's really nice. 1 BertMacklin reacted to this

DrLee 15 Posted January 24, 2015 If you only have 800 dollars, buy an actual computer. 800~ won't get much in the gaming laptops and PCs are much better for much less.
Vertex 32 Posted March 3, 2015 Never buy a laptop unless you absolutely have to portability reasons. You will see approximately a 50% reduction in your overall gaming performance at a $200 higher price point. If you're really insistent in getting a laptop and can push your budget up a little bit, this would be worth extra dollar.
