    What's New This Month?

    New Raffle! We understand how popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become, and we want to give back to the people who have supported us! We are giving away 1 copy of PUBG in our raffle that you can enter if you're a sponsor or donator of Xeno Gamers! Sponsors get 20 entries, donators get 5, and the draw is at the end of May!     Profiles now are much quieter if they have custom music playing. We reduced it to 0.2 from the initial default (which is 1 I believe). We have also added covers for your profile, default and custom. Defaults currently are just different colors (which is also free), and custom (that you can purchase for 2500 credits) lets you upload your own banner, the dimensions currently are about 1370px x 210px but will be changed to be something more standard and bigger. They can also be gifs! (Fyi, you only need to purchase once and can change it as many times as you want!)



    Badges have been updated. New badges are the [GiftR] badge that you can get by providing a raffle prize that we use, or by gifting the raffle prize to another xG member if you win it from the raffle.We also have a hump badge for 5000 credits.     Mod Applications are now open to members who are 14 years or older! We are reducing the age from 16 to 14 due to an overwhelming response from the community and the higher ups agree that 14 should be the starting age.

    As a most of us already know, we hold our staff members to the highest of expectations. You guys are a big reason why so many players choose to enjoy xG servers every day and we put a lot of faith into your abilities to solve conflicts and issues that may appear.
     
     
    However, that also means that whenever that trust is broken, the disappointment we as higher ups feel is equally as great. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that’s fine, but when those opinions start affecting your ability to uphold the rules and guidelines we have all agreed to follow when we play on our servers, there’s a problem.
     
     
    The decisions made for this Promo/Demo have been discussed extensively over the last week. As always, we take every concern of yours seriously. If you think the decisions that were made are unjustified, feel free to message a higher up privately and we will do our best to answer any questions you might have.
     
     
    This Promo/Demo is one of the bigger ones we’ve had in awhile, and will most likely be very controversial. As much as some of us like drama, I would like to remind you all to try and keep the discussion civil and level headed. Witch hunting or harassment of anyone will strictly not be tolerated and will most likely lead to forum/server suspensions. In the event that you do feel targeted or attacked, please contact a higher up and we will help you out.

    What's New This Month?

    The Official Noob Guide is out. The Official Noob Guide! If there's anything you feel is important to add, please comment on the guide and I'll make the changes! Anyone who is new to the forums will hopefully see this now before doing anything else.
    Badges are now out on users. Refer to this guide Badges if you want to know what is available. (Will be finished within 2 days as the badges interface got fixed less than a day ago) If you have any suggestions, please post here Badges Megathread!.
    For Staff: "Unless a Player is explicitly affecting the Servers (or is otherwise harassing a Player on our Servers) then there is no reason to ban a Player for their actions outside of the Servers. In other words, in order for a Player to be punished, they have to be affecting the Server as a whole, or, and this is a big 'or', they have to be a danger (IE. [verbal] harassment, threats, etc) to any of the Players in the Server (including Staff). Anything above or beyond this is an abuse of power from the Staff (depending on the situation)." Quoted from @Forest, we discussed as higher-ups that this is in fact the best course of action. This debate was sparked due to a ban last week so this should hopefully clear things up, and if you have any questions as moderators/admins, do not be afraid to ask the higher-ups on clarification.
    TF2 Staff can now choose to use staff titles or tags in servers, instead of just the steam tags that we've done since the beginning of time. This is subject to change at a later time, but for now the division managers and leaders agreed that as long as it's not confusing they have 0 issues with you guys using the staff-specific titles on our servers.

    What's Coming Up Soon?

    Revamping CS:GO, Minecraft, GMOD will begin May, school will be finished for many of us so expect a ton of events, badges, credits and giveaways within the next month to help repopulate our servers and prepare for the long awaited summer! Minecraft specifically is being looked at right now, as we have a few members interested in helping run the division, and we will make sure to choose the best course of action to keep the community happy. @SuperMaddud said he will be back in a few weeks so we will talk to him as well and then go from there.
    Youtube will be started earliest May or latest June, so if you're someone who thinks you have good content for xG's official youtube channel, be sure to prepare your stuff and message me when the time is ready!

    The Leprechauns are gone but we're back!




    What's New This Month?

    TF2 Staff Requirement has been reverted to a set time of 14 hours biweekly. The higherups decided that leaving it up to "be as active as you can" left too much gray area, and they believe that the staff prefer set hours as well as long as it's reasonable.
    Added the banners for News + Promo/demo, not final versions by any means so don't fret!

    What's Coming Up Soon?

    Membership Application Processes will be changed completely within the next 2 weeks once the final things are worked out. We will change it to 2 day applications where there is a 2 day window for people to voice their opinion (mainly to say if they are unfit to join xG) and if they qualify then they will be in. This change is from many people who join our servers finding xG too hard to join as some people who aren't very social can not get the required vouches to join our community or do not want to wait the few weeks - month just to hear if they got accepted or not. We do not want xG to feel like an exclusive club. This 2 day window will be crucial in keeping out people who shouldn't be in so members who want their voice heard should be checking forums daily. More details will be out in a post dedicated for it and will be open for discussion there.
