    Hey guys, we've once again opened up the CS:GO Xmas server for this winter! This year, it is 24/7 xmas_nipperhouse - for those who don't know, this is a classic Christmas-themed CS1.6 map where CT's must defend a house from the T's. The server will be open from today at least until the end of February, and we'll likely have several events on the server during that time.
     
    We've also added a few winter-themed items to Hub on our CS:GO servers, including a variety of tags, some cool new auras, and a Santa hat grenade skin! See here for a list and what they look like. These are only going to be available through the first week of January (1/7/17), so pick them up while you can! (But don't worry if you miss them, they'll be back again next year ;) )

    We want to remain as protected as possible and make sure everyone is as well, so starting now all Division Managers and above are required to enable Two-Factor Authentification on their forum accounts.
     
    You can enable it by click here!

    You may use either email, Google Authenticator, or SMS.
     
    We encourage everyone to enable it as well, and you will receive trophy points for doing so!

    Member Application Requirement for TF2 has been changed to 7 vouches including an admin vouch instead of Div Manager or higher. We are making this change as our TF2 player numbers are very high, and we want more voices to vouch on an individual who wants to join xG, and it is hard for our TF Division managers and leader to see every single potential member, so we believe this is the best way to not only bring in quality players from TF2, but also not hinder anyone who truly belongs in our community due to not running into a higher up for a long period of time.


    Furthermore the TF2 staff activity requirements have changed, you should have a game activity time of 18 hours instead of 20 hours for the past two weeks now.

    As our servers and infrastructure are constantly getting upgraded, we want to make it easier for CS:GO members to get into our community to increase our player base and make our servers more enjoyable for everyone. This means we are reducing the member application vouch requirements to 4 +1's and you do not need a div+ to vouch on it.
     
    We are also going to start dedicated "operation populate" times for the different servers and put them on our events, that way if someone really wants to play Minigames for example, they can see that on fridays at X time that we have an event already scheduled if they can't manage to populate it at their current time.
     
    We will be having a sale on credits from the 21st to 25th for thanksgiving as well, and are planning to add more seasonal forum/server stuff for hub. Any questions or feedback please let me know!

    I hope you guys enjoyed the events in October, unfortunately we didn't watch a movie but we played Town of Salem, TF2, CS:GO (with spooky breaks and zombie chickens), and Hunger Games on Minecraft. I gave around 20000 credits to winners from random trivia and events while TF2 had random item giveaways! Please provide feedback so we can improve our events and bring them out more often!

    As you guys might have seen, we now have an events tab and have our first event set up! Terraria is having a brand new update that is a crossover with Dungeon Defenders 2 so we will have a server up on the 18th for anyone interested!     I'm going to be changing the sponsor system to reward tiers (Think kickstarter) but current sponsors will all be in the tier of whatever they paid for currently, and any reward added to any tier will automatically be granted to anyone who has donated the required amount. This means if you donated for sponsor twice (i.e. 40$) and we add a new reward for the 40$ tier then it means whoever donated in the past still gets those new rewards, even if it's months after they donated. More news on that this week!


    Member Applications


    We had discussed a few months ago about making it so member applications only need an Admin+ instead of Div+ for CS:GO (and possibly TF2) so we might make that change. I will get the thoughts of the div leaders and managers and let you all know if any changes occur!
     

    Content Creation


    I am looking for ideas on what people are willing to create for Xeno Gamers and how we can help you guys out in return. I will create a universal guide for it so feel free to inbox me or post in general any ideas you have for content creation.
     

    CS:GO


    We have reset the ranks due to a bug with GameMe on the Minigames server. (The bug was any TK gave you -50 points, even if the map encouraged it) We have also discussed a possibly of adding a script to the servers that gives an item to a random player from the bot that holds all the CS:GO items that people traded in for credits. We don't know the fine details yet but any ideas on ways to implement it are more than welcome!
    We are also starting a CS:GO team for xG. If you are interested in applying, read Cs:go Team! for more info.
