The BoardRoom Thread --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hopes for This Thread Just a place to share a little about our gaming methods, fourm methods, server methods, even PC builds, how you came across xG, and discuss what is and isn’t working…your strengths and weaknesses, server limit, etc. Hopefully a few seasoned people join in, and through “the beg, borrow or steal” method…er, collaboration…we can all pick up a few gems from one another to improve our own gaming methods. No need to give away all of your info…your edge, so to speak…though. Share as much, or as little as you like. Contribute what you can…take away what you like. I also find I get asked the same questions quite often. I often find it a pain to re-type a response…or to dig back through my posts to find a link to post for someone. I’m just going to use this thread…and particular posts which I will update over time, as the link I provide in such cases. If you find that happens to yourself often, too…and you don’t have a thread of your own for people to reference…bang out a post with some of your method. Keep it updated…and use that link as your answer to people on the often asked questions. We don’t have to post live calls or anything like that here…but feel free to if you want. I picture more of a reference type thread…an ever-expanding textbook, kind of thing. Post some images, or videos and explain a bit about your method. Try to ask and answer a few questions…if they’re good. xG SERVERS ARE DOWN Apparently it just happened.. AGIAN First of all, I urge none of you to post what so ever on the No3 Fourms, they are able to obtain your information just from posting on their fourms. Even once. So about twenty five minutes ago xG servers all crashed it was just a regular round on jail break a tiny bit of FRL (Frame Rate Lag) untill it finaly hit, at first it was just a small amount of lag just the standard microphones not working, you know especialy since it happens every day whenever our servers get DoS'ed. [ATTACH]1215.vB[/ATTACH] We just thought it was normal, untill pings started sky rocketing, my own ping went from the low fiftys up into the high 200's after about twenty seconds of watching pings fly high they finaly hit 996! where they stayed for the remander of the time I was on the server. But any other xG servers that hadn't gone down had pings that im shure are larger than a few Skyscrapers in Meters. PLEASE READ AND CONSIDER THIS ALL So after being on NUMEROUS Gun Game servers hosted by other people I have started to notice common similarity's between these servers so after visiting a good 15 Servers for at least 15 Minutes each I have compiled this thread of information because Gun Game NEEDS TO BE REVAMPED. 1. BOTS After being on some of the most popular gun game servers I have noticed one thing that we NEED TO GET RID OF. There is no need for bots, and they Push people away from playing our servers. 2. GAME TYPE No Death match, similar to Jailbreak, elimination. You die, you wait until the round ends in saying this it brings me up to my next subject. 3. MAPS We need small yet fun maps I've compiled a good start up list of maps that we could use. WEAPON ORDER Aah the most important part of a server, so after playing on several servers this is the most common games list I have found, it is also my favorite and on paper may not seem the best, but in game truthfully is. 1. Oscar, have you really seen what it was that YOU have done in a whole. You say that so many people disrespect you and don't treat you as they should, but really how can they when you go out and make Fascist, Sexual, and Racist comments and jokes. I will agree with you in saying that some Mods+ don't treat you with a respect that they should but in scenes you tend to over react, and don't nessecarily act as YOU SHOULD. Please show me an instance where I have said speceficaly that you MOLEST CHILDREN. Pardon me for sounding rude but you must be ♥♥♥♥ing mad, shure you have been joked about on team speak by other people aswell, and I have IN ONE INSTANCE passed a joke forward. I have talked to other people on team speak who have talked about your sexuality, them talking about how you tend to befriend people under the age of 16. Truthfully for the duration of time that I have known you I have not cared that you are homosexual, it never changed the way I look at you, only the way you act will change the way I look at you. On another note, how does this ONE instance affect my ability to be a good moderator? Just because I passed on a joke ONCE dosen't affect or even show how I would react to things like trolling, freekilling, or hacking. I am sorry for insulting you, or even passing on said joke. But you have to realize that im not being immature about this, I could simply shout something at you, so I would ask you to reconsider your vouch (im not asking you to) or atleast set it to a neutral that is your decesion.
