99% of the time they get it changed to a X week CT ban, so why even bother with perming them, and instead just doing the X weeks Because if it were to be changed to that, there would be a lack of organization and it would rely heavily on Moderators/Administrators to determine whether or not it was unintentional or intentional. It's not so much distrust of Staff; it's more of the fact that a situation may occur where it cannot be made clear whether or not it was intentional and a Staff Member may say it was, while another say it wasn't. If we keep it permanent, it's a fast remedy to the situation and can be easily discussed/solved via forums in a neat and organized manner (CT will plead their case, and Staff on at the time will say what they saw and a solution can be made after evaluating the information given).

Another one of the reasons why it should remain how it is though. In some situations, it is extremely hard to determine whether or not something was intentional or unintentional. This is why we have Ban Protests, to weed them out. The offending CT can plead their case as to why they did what they did, and then Staff can determine whether or not to reduce the ban or keep it as is.

I already only ban people for 1 week when they unintentionally freekill more than 2 people because I'm not stupid and I have that thing called common sense... you should try and get some :) Freekilling 2 people should normally only amount to a day ban, especially if it's unintentional. I'd suggest simply having it where a Moderator/Administrator gauges the pros/cons of a CT's actions, and then acts accordingly; but I get the feeling a large portion of our Staff would give either too little a punishment or too much. To be quite honest, I don't see the need to add another time for Staff to remember for a certain situation. If a CT mass freekills (unintentionally) and is perm'd from CT, they are completely welcome to post a Ban Protest; and almost 99.99% of the time their ban is pushed through to a reduced amount and all is well. Albeit the only downfall for this is the CT having to protest their ban as well as wait out the amount of time it takes for the Ban Protest to go through (on top of the punishment).

Stop being one sided guys. If you were to be slain for an unjust reason, you would be pretty upset and most likely say something out of sheer anger. Albeit it's not something that should be practised, but it does happen occasionally from our players, and Moderators/Administrators should account for that before gagging so abruptly. Come on, cut the guy some slack. He was just slain out of the blue without a single warning, and then found out that the slay was completely unjustified, interrupting what could have been a fine round of Wardening. Is that not more than enough reason to have a couple of words slip out due to frustration and anger toward the Staff Member who dealt the slay? As John said, if you are completely sure that what happened justifies a slay, then do it. But if you aren't 100% sure, then ask first. You can't be 80% sure, you can't be 90% sure, you have to be 100%, lest you end up free slaying. This was a display of power abuse, even if just minor, however; it doesn't warrant anything other than a talking to. @@Kirigaya_Kazuto Don't let it happen again mate, make sure to follow rules/regulations when dealing with Admin Commands to keep these sort of situations to a minimum; and @@Halfbaked realize that our Staff isn't perfect. Please provide valid proof when posting a Ban Request. We cannot act on words alone, nor can we rely on "witnesses". You should provide at the very least, picture proof. Doesn't anyone seem to realize that this is supposed to be a Prison RP? It's survival of the fittest in that environment. If no one gets killed with a prison shank every now and then (obviously that can't happen, so extremely painful soccer balls or crushing doors will do) then it's not a prison. The Ts are trying to get Last Request by any means necessary, why do you think they so willingly bloodhound for other Ts when given the option? +1 for the removal of Terrorist Teamkill = slay as it only makes sense.

His attitude on TeamSpeak before/after is irrelevant to this thread, so stop bringing it up. Rpx deserves as much respect as any other player who is treated unjustly ingame. The fact of the matter is that you're choosing some form of LR option, and then Rebelling. Hence, rebelling after picking an LR option. Stop trying to dig into details, we've had this problem before with another Staff Member, and it got to the point where everything had to be perfectly detailed in the MoTD Rules. Some things aren't needed to be explained further, as it's implied.

@@xShadowSpyx Any reason why Roflmao61 was unable to make his own Ban Protest before this ends up being closed? Keep in mind that you should only be posting for your own appeal, not for anyone else. I realize there are other times where players have posted in regards to another, but there was almost always a logical reason (forum banned, unable to post due to technical issues, no internet, etc). If you want to plead a case for another person, the only time to do so is when confronting a problem with a Staff Member via Report Abuse or with a Member Protest (IE. "[Offender] CT banned this player for an unreasonable amount of time, and it was an abuse of power." or "[Offender] has been creating problems for everyone, here is an example where he harassed/disrespect this player.")
