As with many other threads, it's not an issue with ban times that leads to an empty server. You just need dedicated players/members to spend time on it late at night to gather more people. You have to do it in consecutive nights, not just one night. It's a lot of work, and requires a lot of patience as well as time I'm afraid :Old Man:

That's just it. It was meant for anonymous Report Abuse threads as well as Member Protests, not stupid random threads. @@Rhododendron

Alright, well if this issue has been resolved, or it has been established that his actions weren't justifiable for a CT ban or anything, I'm going to be #Closing this thread. @@DarkWolf6052 if he would like to give a final verdict or even re-open the thread if anything needs to be discussed further. ~ Forgotten in the Lost Woods(?) -
Alright, this request has been up for a long time. Seeing as the "evidence" provided is not enough to warrant any sort of ban (first image shows him saying he will, second showing him killing people, but there's no way to tell if this was due to an order). The best way to catch any perpetrator is by recording a demo (hit ~ while ingame and type record [name]). #Closing this ban request for reasons provided above. @@MuffinMonster to revive this thread should there be a reason to do so, or to just give an opinion or whatever. ~ Forgotten in the Lost Woods(?)

True that, and to combat that, I will edit into the original post that the sprays may not be connected or be touching at any point to prevent this sort of thing from happening! (in addition to that, I will also mention that sprays may not be in a close proximity, just in case players are being smart asses saying "Oh, they aren't connected")
-
In all seriousness though, @@DarkWolf6052 and @@Gkoo for your respective opinions on these two ideas. Before these are to be added (if they are considered) into the MoTD, I would very much appreciate if someone could test both ingame!

Not everything needs a time when it can be done. All that has to be said is that it can only be played with a max of 'X' Terrorists. Maximum of 4 seems like a good number to go by.

For the longest time, I assumed that heinous act you committed so long ago finally caught up with you and you were publicly executed. ... Needless to say, I was wrong. Welcome back mate! :Old Man:

Mine Sweeper isn't exactly a day, so much as it is a MoTD Game, such as First Reaction/Last Reaction. Don't see why there has to be a restriction on it, it's pretty straight forward. Mimic Me is intended to have the orders stack on another. If you clicked on the Simon Says game link, you'll know exactly what I mean (imagine that Blue is knifing, Red is jumping, and Green is crouching. Forget yellow, yellow sucks.). The only thing I can relate it to is a Chain of Command, and again, I'll try to be as detailed as possible when describing it. Alright so, the game has started. The Warden jumps Once. The Terrorists then jump Once to mimic him. Now the Warden stacks ANOTHER command on top of the jump by jumping again (making sure to jump the first time as well, so there is a total of two jumps to be completed). The Terrorists then copy his exact chain of commands (this being, two jumps). The Warden then stacks yet ANOTHER command on top of the TWO jumps, adding a knifing motion (So the Warden jumps twice, then left or right-click knifes). The Ts then jump twice and knife once, once again, following the Warden's CoC. Important: The Warden may only stack One new command on top of the others with each turn. It goes on a turn by turn basis. Warden does it, then Ts do it. And it just goes on from there. The best way to describe it is using the Simon Says game linked in the original post. I also did mention at the bottom that it is cautioned to be only be played with a few Ts, and I honestly think it should be a maximum of 4 allowed.

Another idea came to mind, formulated by a simple game that everyone knows. But for the sake of not-confusing it with Simon Says, we'll give it another name: Mimic Me. How it will work is pretty straight forward: The Warden announces that Mimic Me will be played Ts must do exactly as the Warden does (Is restricted to jumping, crouching, and knifing. Crouching is not permanent) The order of what happens will stack on one another, so this is basically a memory game (Remember that old Simon Says game? The one with the colors? It's simply that, but only with Jumping, Crouching, and Knifing) Any T who messes up at any point will be killed For example: >Warden Jumps >Ts jump >Warden Jumps twice >Ts jump twice >Warden Jumps twice, then crouches (standing up afterwards) >Ts Jump twice, then crouch (standing up afterwards) >Etc. For another example, just follow this link to the game: Simon - The classic Simon memory game It is the same premise as this, but there are only Three options: Jumping, Crouching, and Knifing This goes on until the desired number of Ts are left (may only be played with a maximum of 4 Ts, as it will be hard to determine who messes up). This is a cautionary game as it Does require memory. You may Not tarp during this game. This can be used to establish Last Request.

Alright so, this game is nothing substantial, but it Is something new. The game is called Mine Sweeper. How it works is actually quite simple. Here's how it will work (May only be played with double the amount of Ts to CTs such as 3 CTs to 6 Ts): Warden announces that Mine Field will be played A starting point and an ending point will be given (illustrated below as Point A and Point B) Ts are ordered to unstack shoulder to shoulder, facing the direction they will be walking Ts will turn their flashlights on and look straight up CTs will then lay down the "Mines" (CTs will randomly lay down their sprays along the Ts path, but are not allowed to respray after doing so. Should a CT decide to respray, their spray is no longer a Mine) Warden will instruct Ts to shift-walk to the other side. If Ts walk across any spray at any point (or even touch the spray at all), they "explode" (KoS) Ts may strafe in any direction, so long as they are heading toward the ending point. CT sprays may not be connected in any way, nor can they be in close proximity. The minimum space must allow a player model to walk through without touching either spray. To provide an example, here's a poorly drawn picture by yours truly: Gyazo - 15e8cf6ea0bc26a330ed3acb236f3766.png That's pretty much it. One can argue that it's similar to Cliff Hanger, but with a twist. But you know what, Panda Freeday is the exact same as a Ninja Panda Freeday, only with the addition of the ability to jump. - Dat guy, Forest

denied LapisLazuli - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Forest replied to LapisLazuli's topic in Member Submission
Lapis seriously is a fun guy who has a great attitude as well as sense of humour. The only grievance I've ever seen with him would be the one mass freekill he performed (intentional). I don't expect that he'll ever do something as stupid as that, but he really was a great member of xG back then. Because he is applying for the CS:GO Division, I can't exactly provide a legitimate vouch, but I can still give my opinion. A: ?/10 - Do not own CS:GO. M: 7/10 - Takes complete responsibility for his actions, does not start arguments, and tries his best to keep a sense of fun. He also keeps a level-head and doesn't blow things out of proportion. Maturity is slightly below where it should be (due to intentional mass freekill). D: +/-0. Can't give a legitimate vouch for this Division, but I can say that he's a great guy. - Dat guy, Forest -
I'm starting to think this is just one of those "I hate this guy's guts, so I'm going to try my hardest to get him banned" threads. With that said, I'm going to go ahead and #Close this as there is no clear evidence provided that indicates any sort of continued disrespect or harassment. Exploitation of a map would involve utilizing something that is map specific (IE. abusing low-grav glitch on jb_nexzoid, abusing infinite health on jb_blackout) in order to excel over anyone else or give you an extremely unfair advantage. Also, next time you want to quote someone in order to either demean them or call them out, use a valid quote that means something. Yes, we will ban someone for excessive trolling or harassment. There was none of that provided in the demo, it was occasional but certainly not worthy of a ban. ~ Forgotten in the Lost Woods

I didn't see anything that would be considered disrespect other then the occasional cuss, nothing that would result with a punishment of a ban. I will note that if the players were getting upset with the nade-sticking, then it should have been dealt with via warning. Again, it's not a bannable offence, but it is something that does affect the game negatively and could potentially agitate/annoy an entire team. To be honest, I don't see any incriminating evidence that would warrant any sort of ban. Maybe a warning here and there, but that's about it. -1 for any sort of ban

I really hope this was sarcasm. If you were hosting an event in which the money came out of Your pocket, would you want to at least get a decent amount of money raised for whatever it is it's for? It's a fundraiser that benefits everyone (at least those who are members of xG)

Sorry mate, it's one thing to Mass Freekill accidentally, but doing it with the sole purpose of, well, doing it, is no longer (should never have been) a reason to get unbanned. We do not tolerate intentional mass freekilling in any way. Your request to be unbanned has been #Denied. Think your actions through before doing something as ludicrous as this. #Closed. ~ Forgotten in the Lost Woods

As Matsi said, this is something that is already enforced. If at any point a rule is broken at the end of a round that affects the round transition (IE. Terrorist rebels during LR and gets killed) they are slain the next round. Same goes for a CT who kills the Terrorist who has Last Request and it ends with the round being over; they are slain the next round. This is completely up to the Warden. In most cases, the Warden will give a time to start so that it is fair. It would be difficult to enforce this any further. Not sure if we can edit the plugin to have this work out. However, I'm sure we could edit the amount of ammo given for the taser (currently 10 if I'm not mistaken). We could possibly have it give a max of 5 instead(?) @@DarkWolf6052 @@Gkoo @@Rhododendron

Late Night Jailbreak - Suggestions/Comments/Feedback
Forest replied to Hidingmaster's topic in CS:S Discussion
I haven't had the time to get on during one of these nights, so I honestly don't have a valid opinion other than from what I've heard (can't believe not a single person demo'd @@Matsi ). Again, there are two different sides to the story from my perspective as not being on. First and foremost, there hasn't been a single Member Protest or Report Abuse thread that has risen from this event. Now that's good, it means people are having a good time and don't feel like it's going over the top to the point where they have to report anyone. Second, it seems that people are having fun. However, almost 90% of our Members saying they had fun and were enjoying the event, are in a position of power. Now I'm not saying this event is a terrible occurrence, at least you guys are getting the right idea (sort of) of playing leisurely. The problem here, is that I haven't exactly seen a single player/member (aside from IAmLegend and Jaybreeze) who is not in a position of power, post their opinion on the night. That's only two, two from a supposed "full server". Now I can't exactly base my intel on this alone, as I'm sure a lot of randoms/frequenters barely ever get on our forums, let alone post on them. But be that as it may, I'm finding it that our Staff Members aren't taking into account the players who have no powers, and who have to deal with the smiting/slaying/free killing. Quite honestly, if I were a new player who just hopped on and I was greeted by being freekilled, slain, smitten, I'd be pretty reluctant to leave and find a more controlled environment. Again, don't take this the wrong way, but there is a way where you can still have fun by breaking rules without the abuse of your powers. As Jay so perfectly pointed out, a community night is where everyone can have fun and relax without fear of being punished or frowned upon, but this doesn't mean you can abuse the hell out of your powers. Try to think of it this way: "If I'm about to smite @all, will everyone else around me enjoy it as much? Or will I be the only one?" Please, try to keep your powers in check. It's great that you guys are having a great time, but the point of this sort of thing is to share laughs with others, not just yourself. Don't abuse or do something stupid that you think is hilarious, because chances are, not everyone will feel the same way. Take into account the players/members who have no power to do what they want and are at the mercy of our Staff Members. TL;DR - Haven't ever been on for this event, but judging on the info I have at my liberty, it's a gong-show. Try to keep the power abuse to a minimum, make up new days, be creative. A Community Night is intended for everyone to have fun, not just yourself. - Dat guy, Forest
