Keyboards are probably the most strait forward thing you will probably buy for your computer. What it says on the box is what you get. As far as what color switch you buy is totally down to personal preference. While reds are "better" for gaming, they aren't actually going to make you preform any better, but the feel of the reds is regarded by most to most suited for gaming for a whole bunch of reasons that don't really effect a normal people. I use reds as the bump on browns feels odd to me, but I know a lot of people who can't stand the lack of tactile feedback on the reds. It's totally down to preference, and I suggest if possible trying out the different switches before buying. As for mice, I've never used a roccat, but they are a well known brand so that mouse will probably do you just fine, although my suggestions would be logitech or mionix.

Why is the highest rank in xG essentially just a forum admin?

I think your overestimating how willing game developers are for adding Linux support. As much as valve wants Linux to be a gaming platform, it will be ages before it catches on, if ever. Even support for mac gaming is far from universal, and Apple's OS is far more popular then Linux. Scrolling through steam (and this surprised me as well) almost all games are windows exclusives.
-
Honestly, if your plan is a Linux machine that runs those three games, don't even bother with a gaming pc. The on-board graphics of a modern CPU alone with probably give you acceptable fps, and even the cheapest discrete graphics card will run them at high fps. A laptop alone will do the job fine.

The question is not which does more work in your PC, the question is if it is more worthwhile to pump extra money into your CPU or GPU, and I have produced benchmarks (and there are more on that site if you want to fish around) proving its more cost effective to put your money into a GPU for a gaming application. Regardless of how it SHOULD work, in real life sometime stuff works out different. Unless you can produce benchmarks or something real proving otherwise, there really isn't a point in continuing this discussion.

Before this argument gets too heated, I come bearing benchmarks CPU Benchmarks - Compare Products on AnandTech GPU 2015 Benchmarks - Compare Products on AnandTech Those are the differences in frame rate for GTA V for different CPUs and GPUs respectively. Benchmarks are love. Benchmarks are life. (Benchmarks for othere games are there as well if you feel like looking around, I just figured everyone loves GTA so its a good start)

Why is the dead ringer still a thing. It's not like it's tricking anyone seeing as every single spy uses it. All it is hit right click for temporary bullshit invincibility. It's a broken concept, just remove the damn thing. Rabble rabble.

There are certain games that are more CPU heavy (like those you mentioned), and if you plan on playing those a lot, check out upgradeing your CPU, but for most games the difference is really only a few FPS. Basically, check benchmarks for the games you plan to play and see if its worth the extra cost to you. (also I mixed up the 4790k having hyperthreading and having more cores. I pretend those are the same thing sometimes cuz blah.)
-
Anything above a 4690k for gaming is BEYOND overkill. The extra cores are simply a waste of money for gaming, as most games support for multithreading above 4 is weak to nonexistent, and the extra ghz are not worth it, as most games rely on graphics cards much more heavily then CPU.
-
Well then its probably 1080p or less, in which case a 980 ti would be total overkill. You'll be totally fine with a 980

Hushpuppy replied to realBelloWaldi's topic in TF2 Discussion
Make !lct freeze the blue, strip him of weapons, and set his hp to 1 million. -
Remove lct plz.

I can't understand it, it's all in German.

To be completely honest, you probably wont notice a difference between the two. They're both good brands, so just buy the cheaper one.
-
You can get an 250GB 850 evo for about $100 on newegg, and I doubt you'll get anything much cheaper from a good brand.

So like the weapon glitch were people use banned melee weapons to get ammo has been around for a long time without being fixed, and it totally ruins JB when its abused (which is basically whenever there isn't staff on). I suggest two things. First, fix it. Second, until its fixed, unban all the melee weapons that cause it and make using the previously banned melee weapons against the rules. It's a lot simpler to deal with fists of steel than a minigun.

It's based on your search history :troll:

Quick question, of all the people quoting the ESRB requirement to play tf2, how many of you waited until you were 17? How many of you even took it into consideration before you started playing?
