  1. Looks good man! What about a CD/DVD drive and a wireless card?

    Game modes

Dear God please not a 24/7 anything. Something with rotation and rtv.
  3. Since lower-ranking staff are not able to use slay and swap commands on higher-ranking staff PLEASE switch yourself to spec if you're going to be afk. We have no way of preventing an afk admin from getting LR - and it's not always fair to say "afk in cells" in all chat if a non-afk t is in the area.

I'd be in it for sure.

    Game modes

I know I've mentioned this quite a while ago, but I'll bring it up again. Some game modes tend to get dry to some after time. As far as CS:S is concerned I'd say that, on average, our most popular servers are (in no special order): jb, mg, and surf. I know we had a zombie server too at some point back in the day, and even that game mode can get dry. Any chance of getting a good 'ol plain-jane stock standard regular CS:S server? Good 'ol hosties and bomb/defuse? What's everyone's thoughts on this?
  6. I thought you couldn't apply for forum mod? I think the forums are under control well enough with the current staff that has admin access. My vote would be -1 for ducki. He tends to hold personal grudges which could lead to damaging misuse on the forums.
  7. Which CS:S servers do you play on? I'm mostly in JB and MG but haven't seen you around, I'll keep an eye out for you.
  8. Both drives are SATAIII 6.0Gbps, so that's good, and are both 7200RPM, which is standard. I would not recommend the Caviar Green, however. Your access times will be lower since this is a low-power drive. Something like the green would be good as a second drive for storage, but not as your main drive. The Caviar Blue lists a 2-year warranty, where the Green lists nothing. And do note, you'll probably use that warranty, Caviar Blue drives (in my experience) have a life expectancy of about a year and half with daily use. Out of these two I'd recommend the Blue. I use Caviar blue's in my builds and in my computer, and WHEN it fails after 18 months I'm okay with that because it's an opportunity to reload your OS and software and clean everything up.

So have we decided who's Neo Jr.? You outrank me, but I was in the community first, so...? Anyway, thanks for stepping up. You've always been a great help and you deserve this.
  11. Let me take a few minutes to review the proof you provided and I'll offer a -1 or +1 as needed.
  12. Teamspeak already has it's own overlay options. It's a possibility, I honestly haven't even looked into any APIs they may have, I can check it out.
  13. See ya around Aegean. Thanks for all your help.
  14. Thanks for all your hard work Papi. Never really talked to you much but you were a big help in game for sure.
  15. I've been toying with this for some time, and, it should work... I'm making a Steam Client replacement. Because of the way Steam authenticates it needs to be added as a "Non-Steam Game" to your game list, the you launch it from there. Within the client you see your game list, friends list, and a chrome-based web browser including the Steam store. The client has it's own in-game overlay but is infinitely faster than Steam's native one. The chat feature of the client is compatible with Steam's protocol so you can still message friends who use the native Steam chat. Oh, and the overlay includes a Facebook and Twitter stream, gMail email stream, adjustable opacity, and the chat client is also compatible with Facebook chat, Google Talk, MSN, and Yahoo. I may have something released soon-ish. Anyone have any ideas for this?
  16. I'm not sure if CS:S and CS:GO differ, but in CS:S you can open the admin menu and under the "Server" menu there is an option that says "ban disconnected players" and it will list all the players with the most-recently-disconnected first.
  17. I used to work at an ISP that hosted a speedtest server, needless to say if we did a speed test it got pretty high lol.
  18. You were banned by "cronhippo". Never heard of him before, nor do I know his forum name. It's a 1 day ban for killing a T during his last request. Typically this would only get you slayed on the next round, so not sure hwy you were banned unless something else happened.
  19. I'll admit I don't have thick enough skin for some of the people on the internet. I've learned to avoid the situations, and in this case it meant leaving the game and choosing (again) to not support the community. Non-members understand the rules better than some of the admins and co-leaders, and any mod or admin would have been demoted for the same actions (I've seen it happen). I'll still see you guys in game and around the forums. I love most of you guys and I'm not totally bailing, but like I said I can't be a major contributor (which was my original plan when coming back anyway).
  20. I'll still be around the servers unless I get myself banned again. When I came back I had no intention of helping the community, I just wanted to play, but I found myself getting pushed in that direction anyways. Sorry, but I can't do it guys. I'll play with you guys, but I need to stick with my original plan of not investing in a community where the non-members have a better understanding and respect for the rules than the admins and leaders.
  21. I got bored on other servers over the summer and missed all the good memories from xG, so I thought I'd chat with Silence and try to get unbanned. And, alas, it was so. But with all my excitement of coming back and reuniting with all my long lost internet friends are overlooked everything that really ruffled my jimmies. Frankly, that same people up to their same shenanigans has completely ruined my experience here. Again. Not what I expected after coming back and immediately putting work back into this clan and donating over $100 within the past month. I'm out.
  22. Just a note that I was in spec watching other things, if you watch the demo mind the chat and what's being said between Whitestar ("DEAD"), Octa, and the others. Also, if you didn't catch it (we posted at the same time) this:
