My ass, I just looked at the MoTD Rules that Silence had originally for the CS:S Division. This shiz isn't there at all. EDIT: MoTD is sacred to me, and I can tell you right now, that was Never there. Shiz is like my version of the bible.

Then yes, I would say this is considered Vent Camping (as defined by our MoTD Rules) and is punishable by slay.

Well I mean, to the extent that a Terrorist can camp a vent. If a Terrorist spawns in a vent cell and does not wish to go through it (cell doors are closed as orders are being given as well) then it's kind of common sense that you would exclude that one Terrorist from camping a vent.

Why is there such a heated debate going on about this? The CS:S Division and it's Staff decided to have a fun night with the permission of the Co-Leader as well as the Division Manager(s). Whether or not it's making a "mockery" of anything is irrelevant. There clearly weren't any objections or complaints from the players/members who participated in the event (at least none that anyone is providing). If for some reason this managed to bring a whole slew of players to the server, who cares that it's unorthodox? Point is people are having fun, the server is getting populated, and no one seems to have any discrepancies. I'm going to be 100% honest in saying I'd be iffy about the abuse of powers, but I sincerely doubt our Staff is naive or ill-formed enough to target non-members or new players (with the exclusion of the occasional slay @all or smite @all). As far as I see it, I haven't seen a single Ban Request or Report Abuse sprout up in either section of the forums regarding the event. If it truly had gotten out of hand, at least one thread would have been made regarding it. Honestly guys, calm down. It was given the go-ahead and our Division Managers were there to monitor the occasion. What more do you want? Because this may or may not be a "touchy" subject to some, this will be my only post. I won't be replying to anyone unless it's outside of the forums. Going to try to keep this thread on topic and leave my opinion since everyone else is. You no longer have to make any other Member Submissions as this thread is your Member Submission. You can only have a maximum number of one Member Submission up (in other words, this one).

MoTD Rules state that neither Ts nor CTs are permitted to Vent Camp. This includes the following: - Sitting in a cell that has a vent - Camping within a vent - Walking back and forth within a vent with no intention of leaving - Sitting beside any form of teleport, entrance or exit point(s). (IE. Vending Machine)

For further information regarding this player, click Here. I will remind you to not have more then one Member Submission up at any given point. If you feel your thread has gone inactive, you are allowed to "bump" it every so often, but do not exceed a maximum of one bump per couple of days as we do have other applicants trying to get Membership. It was most likely an act of power-abuse by one of our Staff Members. Needless to say that if the culprit is caught they will be punished. What they did was kick you with whatever was shown as the reasoning. I'm going to go ahead and #Close this thread as it has now been #Resolved. Because unless @@WhyJewMad believes it was completely intentional (meaning he knew that what he was doing was wrong), then he should be unbanned as it was a mistake. There are multiple other threads where a player mass freekilled accidentally and got unbanned (or a shortened ban length), why should this guy be an exception? He may have misinterpreted JewMad's words which were "Ready to raise some hell on these rebels?". Labelling anyone a rebel means they are Kill on Sight, unless pardoned, does it not? So is it not a possibility that he assumed they were all rebels and believed he was doing the right thing?

Player is showing a lot of respect with this and is genuinely sincere in apologizing for his actions. With the information provided here, it seems that it was a misunderstanding and an un-intentional mass freekill had been caused. This is the banlist for the player, as you can see there are no other bans prior to this one. +1 for an unban. @@Gkoo @@DarkWolf6052 for your respective opinions and @@WhyJewMad as you were mentioned by daddio if you would like to leave any input.
