I've came to learn that if you are young, you are most likely to be mistreated in xG. Just today a young fellow spoke one word into his mic and got muted, and then was told to grow some balls before talking again. Ohhh the luls.

Mannn, I spend most of my life playing on this damn game & a lot of it goes to xG. Love the community but I have noticed the servers being empty lately. Makes me sad.

Dude, I agree man. Delete the damn maps we hardly ever play on & add some EXCLUSIVE maps on xG. Some crazy cool maps with new games that take JB to a whole different level. That would definitely attract some new players. OH, how about changing the server to only set RTV's after 15 rounds or more/less? Because what I noticed lately is people RTV'ing maps after 5 rounds making more people leave (including myself).

Ghosting is annoying that's for sure. But, it will never be stopped. Ghosting can still happen during Steam Friends Chats & Teamspeak. I don't enter xG's TS server but you can't tell me you guys don't ghost on there. It's too obvious sometimes. :P
 
I left another clan because the community was so boring & hectic. Some people were better to talk to than others. They had the same plugin that xG just added. Something about how it was when we could type when dead was something I loved. It does make socializing better. Much more hilarious to react when dying from rebelling & hearing the CT who killed me response. I use my keyboard like 90% of the time when playing, but now, just gotta make it last when living.
 
Wasn't gagging/kicking people who ghosted effective enough? Unless the reason is finding anything that makes players stay online more?

I don't really think it matters how it is on CS:S or how it was supposed to be in the first place. It's become so ingrained with the players of the server that the loss of this is only causing more harm than good.

But it's not just personal communication, you can be discussing things relevant to the game (which is most often the case).
 
Look, you're supposed to be doing what is best for the server. Do you truly believe this is best for the server, even when there is only one active player (dontbleed) that agrees with you?

Before someone says "use admin chat for that" not all issues have to be solved through mods/admins, especially if you're not sure if it was a freekill or not. You can't simply ask the person to clarify on orders directly, you have to go through mods/admins (who commonly give the reply "didn't see it, can't do anything").
 
Not everything has to be dealt harshly either (this goes back to fostering a larger community). There have been many cases where I just ask the person, "Hey X, why did you kill me?" only to find out it was a simple mistake and the person happily slays themselves, problem solved. The other side of the coin is a mod slays the person with no warning, then they get mad and even when a mod explains what they did wrong they already have a sour taste in their mouth. They'll always remember xG as the server with the dick mods that slayed them (I am not saying this is true, this is just how they'll remember xG).

problem with this is that t's or ct's can pm the player to kill themselves and in return they get a portion of the credits, id say something like a pot so that no one is getting credits out of nowhere, everyone would contribute into the pot and win money based on how much they put it, something like that would be a better way of winning credits

You should take the green because that is the quickest route. Taking the yellow route although is quick, is not the quickest way. By taking the red route you are definitely delaying.
 
Final verdict, go to the closest object of whatever is specified or you aren't taking the fastest route. If you want them to be able to go to any table, say "Go to any table and freeze" The no detours no delays rule already covers this by taking the fastest route to your destination.

I agree that talking while dead should be shown to the live. It just makes it alot easier to communicate. We should just enforce gags/kicks/bans for people who ghost.
