  1. I have used Ubuntu MATE on my laptop since mid-June (obviously with the MATE DE).

I installed SteamOS on my desktop a week back and I am dual-booting Windows 7 with it.

I have tried out Mint (Cinnamon) in a VM and it looked pretty cool so I might use that a bit.

Arch Linux will come later when I know what the hell I'm doing.

Gentoo is just out of the question.

EDIT: removed "not", how the hell did that get there.

  2. GG not having any proof... but I'll man up to what I did, because I don't think it was "Abuse"

You're right... I should have just slayed him for doing back to back LRs instead.... wont happen again.

(He did Obby for his LR like 3 times in a row... I told him he was doing back to back LRs.... he said some smartass thing like "no, last time I said obby tomorrow, this time I said Obby today so GG matsi get rekt" so I felt like being a smartass too and trying to make him fall in the lava by slapping him randomly and making him fatter :) )

lol wut I didn't give myself a valve rocket... I did however turn my rate of fire up during LCT just having fun because he was on the other side of the map and so that there could be an LR because there was like 20 seconds left... I do it to some of other LCTs randomly too so that they have a chance of getting to LR...and because a solid stream of rockets is amusing looking... it was all in fun and to try and help the round end...

As for the other stuff you guys went to people with about me and Whyte not doing anything about the guy reentering armory... If you were paying attention while looking for reasons to complain about us you would have seen that whyte did in fact slay him the first time, and the second time I slayed him and teamswitched him.... perhaps you couldn't see that through all your lenny face spam tho...

Matsi I like you but I'm not exaggerating when I say you tend to (in lack of better vocabulary because Sweden) abuse your powers. I wouldn't really call it abusing, but it's as if you like your powers too much.

  3. And as others said before: So if my opinion is that Stalin was a bad person (obviously not respecting him) then my opinion doesnt deserve respect? Again on the topic of being able to voice your opinion, is that you are able to voice your opinion. If people take offense to it then that is their problem. Sure excessive harassment should be dealt with but that is not what happened before. BUT, for the sake of a shorter argument, let's say he did do something wrong. If this is the case then belittling him on trying to fix it is no answer. If anything he should get MORE respect for trying to right his wrong.

Don't you think there's a big difference between Stalin and a fucking gamer?

  4. Ok, how about just a vote restriction? I'm pretty sure that would also work out pretty well.

sm_vote "Admin Abuse Day tomorrow" "No" "Yes"

if yes votes passes 70/75%, its valid. otherwise lr has to be changed/considered invalid

I thought this was already the case?

  5. If it's going to be kept, it has to be pretty strictly regulated, especially if there's a problem with staff going too far. We did something similar on CS:S called Late Nite Jailbreak, and in my opinion it was pretty successful. It was fun for pretty much everyone, CT's and T's broke tons of rules, admins abused a lot (not too overboard, no one was slaying @all every single day, it was mostly somewhat innocent) and it allowed for staff to let off some much-needed steam. I would suggest emulating this as megarobin suggested. Schedule a specific day and time for it to happen (I would suggest a Friday or Saturday night), let everyone know that it's happening and see what people's opinions are, and for a couple of hours just let loose. If people don't like it, then it should probably be scrapped. If everyone is having a fun time and people seem to be enjoying it, keep it around and we can have them as a regularly scheduled event. However, I don't think that it should remain as a choice for last request. Occasional abuse can be fun, but having it too frequently can turn people off to the server. This isn't something that should be happening every day.

This is not a good idea, there are europoors in this clan who really enjoy jailbreak. *cough*

  6. Tbh I had no idea the light colors of the keys made a difference

For my laptop there are no lights for the keyboard, wat does that mean ?

It's not the colour of the keys, it's the colour of the switches.

The best ones are called "Cherry MX [colour]". Most people prefer reds for FPS games. Blues are what most people think of when they hear "mechanical keyboard", it makes a loud click and has tactile feedback.

I don't have a guide but you could search for one on the internet.
