I really like surprises of this nature, probably more then most people, but I don't think keeping anything secret is going to help the population at all. If anything doing that would create an effect similar to the pyro update did where everyone is going to be discouraged by what seems like a never moving project and simply telling people to expect something new has too strong a chance to come off as hollow promises.

 

If you want people to start coming on again I think it would be much better to give them something tangible to be excited for as opposed to just telling them to stay tuned for something that has sadly been a very slow development progress in the past.

As Elcark said leaving something for people to be hyped about is a good thing right now because it will motivate people to play more. We also require more people to play on the server that is not from xG. As of right now there are 2 or 3 giant bases a few thousand blocks away from each other and finding them is pretty impossible. This leaves nothing for people to raid and thus nobody is playing a game about raiding people but no raiding acually happens.

If you haven't noticed yet the server is dead af again. The occasional players are from one or two factions, and just logs on for voting/collecting things. Any information regarding upcoming events or updates that will revive the server and bring more players to it would be greatly appreciated.

I think the only problem with nether is that players cannot be teleported, because everything else (entities) can be teleported.

I agree offline raiding should be a thing and I will fix that indefinitely.

 

I also don't want obsidian to be indestructible in a sense, I will review what to do with it with the others but the last thing I want to see is everyone using obsidian+water in their bases, it looks ugly. We will either change the value for which obsidian breaks or configure a magic spell which can be used to break it if possible.

Im afraid to say that obsidian+water is the core defense of a base, destructible or not. Indestructible obsidian is easy eaten by Withers.

Hello guys, in this short thread I will discuss current raiding conditions.

Regarding Obsidian:

What is the bloody point in buying obsidian if they can take only TWO hits from TNT? Hell, endstone is a much cheaper option and it does basically the same thing. This renders obsidian COMPLETELY obsolete. Please either remove the plugin, which I recommend or simply tweak the configs. It literally takes a few minutes to do this. Indestructible obsidian is not overpowered because of many other options in raiding; backstab, withering, overclaiming. Obsidian breaker makes the game far too easy, and reliant on layers.

Explosion damage to the terrain:

Currently, explosion damage is only enabled if the player getting raided is online. This makes it easily exploitable by instantly going offline while being raided, and it literally makes proper base building COMPLETELY obsolete. Hell, even creepers don't work. Offline raiding is a part of the game and shouldn't bee deemed "not friendly" or "scummy".

After about 5 minutes of thinking, number crunching, and some other third thing, I've come up with a vote that could be a potential game changer!

If #2 wins, we'll hold a vote of the most popularly suggested/available games we could host and see what happens from there.

 

So suggest stuff, vote, and do some other third thing, and we might get a new game added to the xG roster of servers at the beginning of the year!

Ya see, in order to start a new game we'd have to have a lot of interest in or else it will die as soon as its released.

At first glance, this game may look like your typical Japanese anime schoolgirl dating sim or something of that sort anyways. Alright, there's the official description. However, this game's true nature is hidden under the deceiving facade. I won't explain the whole backstory or anything like a normal game but expect to be surprised. This is probably one of the most unique games I've played.

Features:

-Four unique girls with unique personalities that you woo with poems!

-Anime styled graphics!

-A spectacular and colorful storyline with different endings!

-Innovative design(You'll see)

This isn't exactly an easy game to review as the experience is EASILY ruined with spoilers. It is very different from a dating sim, and I encourage everyone to try it(not a weeb in any way, I don't even watch anime). One of the most innovative games I've ever played, it is quite small and free on steam. Great experience.

I don't know if anyone else has got this glitch, but sometimes when I'm making a new post or replying the text selector would randomly teleport around the text box and thus makes typing very annoying. Any fix to this?
