Infrastructure Changes

We want to be the best community around, and strive to have the best servers and infrastructure for our players and especially for our members. However, some downtime is inevitable. So in order to make sure we are always up we are undergoing some infrastructure changes to have higher reliability and better performance for our users.

We have setup a cluster of database servers with two locations in the United States and one in Europe for faster connection times for game servers and applications.

Also, we have setup on these same servers a new FastDL server that will send you to the right server based on your location, resulting in a huge download speed increase. European players will no longer have to wait for long download times! (note for DLs, the FastDL syncing method is exactly the same so you don't have to change anything!)

We are also going to be setting up another backup Teamspeak server in case of failure, as well as setting two backup websites in case this goes down.

This is happening because downtime can be a very irritating thing, and we don't want anyone to have to suffer through that.

If you notice any performance issues with the new system, please let us know immediately and we will take a look into it!
