I Need Input For Our Surf Server. Please Read!

Our original surf server had combat enabled. It was MUCH more player friendly, as if you want to focus on a beginner surf map I think you should make that a specific server. People love the combat currently! I think you should use !friendly, and treat it like PKMN trade :D We can also disable losing credits on a suicide for the server, so that shouldn't be a selling point! -

Updated rules: >Age Policy: All users applying must be age 16 or higher. If a user is under that age, BUT was a member previously, left the clan and was not kicked out, they can create a member submission. The rest of the criteria still applies to that user.

There isn't a rule against it, and I've never been against it. Some mods are though so :|

We can fix this by removing the invisible entity via Stripper Source. I can do this when I have time. Or if someone wants to speed up the process. Decompile the map and open it in Hammer and find the entity. Give me the entity name and classname.

I prefer the 2d versions. I mean I replayed and beat Links Awakening, and Oracle of Seasons/Ages in 2 days a few months ago. They are FAR better than the 3D versions. The only recent Zelda game I liked was A Link Between Worlds.

No there are no packages in Gentoo. The whole idea is if you compile something on the system you will be using it, there will be a performance increase. So there's a framework for writing the build scripts in files with the .ebuild extension. They are mostly copy and paste but you just convert compilation parameters into script parameters. It also has a patch system. Nothing really complicated.

I'm not familiar with the arch repo but the gentoo repo is pretty big, and its easy to add new repos or even make your own via Layman. Only really requires a little coding knowledge and you can turn anything into a package.
