  1. Yes. I was swamped at work Friday and likely will be again all this week. This exploit is being used by a few very nasty viruses.

For those who may not know, Java is a Framework. By having the Framework installed on your system it allows program and web developers to write a program in the Java language and distribute only the program with no additional runtime files. This makes for great ease of use and small program sizes. There's nothing wrong with using a framework, and there is no security flaw with the idea of a Framework. There are many frameworks such as .NET, Flash, Chromium Embedded - 95% of the programs you use use frameworks, including Microsoft Office, Steam, Chrome, and Firefox.

Anyways, getting back to the point. The vulnerability in Java right now (basically) allows a program full access to your system through a series of loopholes. If you go to the wrong site or download the wrong thing your system is open to the world within minutes, and in comes whichever virus initiated it.

  2. Team Killing/Death Soccer: The motd itself states that: "Deathsoccer is the time where killing teammates is allowed." Due to 'death soccer' not really being in motd and not having any specifics, does it have to be established that the Ts or CTs are playing Death Soccer? Or does it imply that as soon you enter the Death Soccer area, it is a team killing arena.

CTs should not be participating in map games, so if a CT TK's with the ball they should be slain.

T's may be instructed to enter the soccer field, but unless they are told to play deathsoccer they should not kill each other with the ball.

  3. 1/12/13 :The Step

" : "The length of a step can't be judged" THIS has NEVER been mentioned in the motd but yet many admins still say that you can't judge how large a step is. Doesn't make sense to me really, if we can judge how far 10 ft in game is for the camping rule, we can certainly judge the length of a step in game? Especially since we see the model of a character's leg move forward. Possible clarification in the motd could be 1 ft forward.

While a "step" can't be judged I have a good one to go along with this.

Warden: "When calls open take 1 step out and gun check freeze, do this by [10 seconds from now]"

So, if a goes b-hopping around, then returns to the cell in a one-step distance, should they be killed?

    I say yes.

Though a common argument is "Oh I was back before the time." My response is "Well then why didn't you just run all the way to armory?"

It is not a 10 second freeday, it's a 10 second window to take 1 step. Agreed?

  4. Or, you could just not use the latest version of Java.

Previous versions are no longer being updated and hold their own risks. The most recent previous version will stop being updated next month.

  5. Some have you may have heard, some may not have...

But late Thursday and into Friday a major security vulnerability has been discovered in the latest release of Java.

To learn how to disable Java in your browser, read here: How do I disable Java in my web browser?

  6. What brand is the card? I know it's an AMD chip, but who actually makes the card?

First thing to check is cables and connections. Make sure all the connections are tight, and try a different cable if you have one handy.

Should have at least a 1 year warranty through the card manufacturer, but if you're still within the 90 day replacement window with NewEgg go that route - it's much quicker.

  7. Please correct your SteamID, you can use this site to help you Steam ID Finder

Please also correct your in-game name, because searching on our ranks server for the name you posted returns no results, so it's as if you've never played here.

You say you want to meet us, make friends, etc. You can easily do that in games and on the forums without being a member. You created your forum account today strictly to apply - so why do you want to be a member of a community you haven't yet been active in?

  8. Just post it as a reply.

Also what does "cs:s not css go" mean? Do you play css or csgo? I would assume css but I'm not sure if you're answering my question or somehow trying to correct it, which is why I'm asking again.

Also, you have nearly 450 hours of CSS gameplay time, not 10 like your post says.

However, despite all this confusion, I think I've seen enough to make my vouch.

You created your accounts here on the forums just now today, and these are your only posts. You can play on the servers and visit our forums without being a member, so given your lack of activity in the community, I'm curious why you are seeking membership.

Also, there is a submission guidelines thread that tell you how to get your SteamID and your game time. The inability to correctly add these items to your app (and the fact that you've only joined the forums today) makes me wonder if you've even read the rules for the game modes you play.

  9. He should be unbanned, its been a while and I'm sure he'll not make the same mistake twice.

That is for sure & I read the MOTD already

I dont Know why i got ban to be honest

How can you be so sure you won't make the same msitake twice if you don't know what it was? o.O

Anyway, the banning Admin +1'd for an unban, so, @@HighSociety

You don't need to be a member to play the servers or to visit our forums. You've only been playing here over the last 3 days.

Give it time to get to know the community and let us get to know you.
