  1. This is true the lower the resolution is u have a problem screen size doesn't really matter so if u see it and they don't, do not spam the admins that favoritism or calling the person a blind stupid should not be here kid as i seen around jailbreak screen resolution can matter in different cases. ~Swagging and Yoloing TemptedGuy

That is one long-ass run on sentence that is so grammatically incorrect that I had to wipe my butt after reading it. Also, he used yolo as a verb. +1 for forum ban

  2. But as a warden u can be strict on the MOTD rules isn't favoritism the same as being a warden and saying go to idk kill a Ct right infront of me and no one can kill them isnt that count as a rule favoritism? that specifically saying you cant do that?

You can't order a T to rebel. So no, you can't do that. You also can't give personal freedays, special treatment, etc. These are both in the MOTD.

  3. An important note about screen resolutions in-game...

    Spray Contests

If you have a low or non-native screen resolution sprays *may* appear differently than you. If everyone is arguing against you regarding a spray please take it into consideration before killing people.

    Seeing people

If you have a high-res widescreen monitor you WILL see more of the field than someone with a lower-res or non-widescreen display. Ever see a rebel on the edge of your screen while specing someone and wonder why he wasn't killed? Well, maybe this is the case - maybe the person you're specing has a lower resolution.

These are the 2 major things that I've noticed that either get people freekilled or make them QQ. Admins/Mods, I urge you to take this into consideration as well.

    That is all. McNeo out.

  4. Alright, giving this thread another day. If there's no other input, someone close this por favor? @@Chrono @@HighSociety

No reason to close it just because the conversation dies. If someone grave digs it in 4 months, then yeah, but if it gets a random hit here and there it's all cool beans.

  5. @@serbiansnaga and I had a discussion about this a while ago and I thought I'd bring it up again and see what everyone thinks.

I'm proposing that, after applying for xG membership, the first Admin+ staff member (DM+? DL+?) would do a quick look on that player - Google search SteamID, check our bans, etc. If no red flags are found after a minute of looking we would instruct the applicant to wear the xG-r tag in-game at all times on our servers.

    -OR-

Add to the submission guidelines that upon applying the applicant must add the tag.

    Why?

This will show other players (pubbers, regulars, admins, everyone) in the server who is trying to join the clan. Their name will get noticed so more people will potentially vouch. It would also cut down on advertisements, and the "who are you?" and "what servers do you play on?" confusion.

If their app is denied that instructed to remove the tag.

The "r" normally stands for recruit, but since this isn't really recruitment maybe we use a different letter? Or stick with r since that's what people would most likely recognize.

    Your thoughts?

  6. Isn't that when a player would report it to admins?

Having players able to do some sort of all chat thing to anonymously announce they suspect a cheater is going to get caboosed so hard core, on top of that 80% of reports would be wrong because the person who got killed doesn't understand that they were the one who was wrong and got killed.

Thsi reply applies to CS:S mostly, I guess, I don't know how TTT works.

  7. Wouldn't be bad but you'd have problems with CTs going inside the vents and camping. It would be nice for CTs to be able to camp outside them and shank nub t's going threw the vent. or shoot but w/e their choice.

Never had a problem with CT's being in vents - if they're in the vents then they're not in warday area and get slain.

  8. This is already restricted. This is straight out of the motd rules under the heading 'Vents, Tunnels and Teleports': "A CT or T cannot camp a teleport (neither the entrance nor the arival spot)."

Actually, I was told second-hand that Serbian says that simply "looking" at a vent isn't camping it - camping is the physical act of being near it. It's also been discussed among Admins, and we've agreed that camping a vent is allowed on a warday - since it's basically just good strategy to cover and entrance to a room you are protecting. Notably, I could be wrong on these.

But still, the T's out number the CTs, and I'd guess about half the CTs usually get from afar anyway.

Not sure why Poncher closed this - Just because the rules are fine doesn't mean we can't talk about it. Reopened cuz YOLO
