If you're trying to ask why give powers to people who can abuse it, then it's seriously no different than asking why we give powers to admins to regulate the servers. If a CL were to abuse, he should face consequences, just as any other person in a position of power should. Now that it is more of a group, this greatly eliminates the risk of one person abusing and doing whatever the fudge he wants. As stated in the thread that was open for a long time apparently, CL's CAN regulate each other.

Agreed, and as @Forest said, about them having "Co-Leaders" powers basically, wasn't it decided upon in the past that these "Community Leaders" would not be permitted to partake in "No-Balls" without facing consequences?

You're the one starting the "Durr Darkwolf you're the one who abuses on teamspeak" when it was simply stated what he did to get his powers removed.

Do you not understand what the community leaders are supposed to do? They are to be responsible for promo demos, how can they do that if they can't make people mod/admin and add new mods/remove demoted mods? Please. Just think about it, and in no such way was what diabeetus did abuse. That is the normal ability of a co-leader, and if you really want to sticky him in a channel and he leaves, instead of crying about it, just get over it. all of us leave channels we are stickied in, if you want to talk about teamspeak abuse, instead of complaining about something trivial, fix your steaming pantload first, because quite frankly, the only real abuser of teamspeak powers in here is you.

Yes, I have, I also want to point out something.

They are saying they only have powers in Teamspeak, Forums, and SourceBans, yet if you read the description of the powers in SourceBans, they very much have the ability to edit ANYONES[except Silence] powers, as well as their own. After seeing how Diabeetus proved Teamspeak Co-Leader[basically co-leader powers] was too much power for him to control himself, how exactly can you trust CLs not to edit theirs or someone elses powers?

Could you please explain this? I was afk at the time, but I doubt there was any abuse done. And before you say "omg they banned me i cried, my feelers were hurt" when it was a 1 second ban, please refer to your statement of "Do you want me to ban him to check?" referring to penguin when megarobin asked if he was afk, by the way, you had perm banned someone as a "joke", and "forgot how to remove it" and megarobin had to tell you how.

Admins aren't DMs because there are only so many DMs you can have at one time. I can probably list a good amount of people that could be DM, but didn't get it due to either their already being enough DMs for that division. As @Chrono said, there was a given time to give input on this beforehand (not that its illegal or anything to do this now) and any suggestions/concerns really should have been made on that thread. A lot of the DLs and DMs currently are arbitrary and not the most level headed, example A would be @Chrono but that doesn't mean he doesn't fulfill his duties as a DL, I personally think he does a great job as DL seeing as he was one of the only people who got on the server to populate before he was demoted, and since he got promoted has been working on the server to the best of abilities, but because he isn't exactly level headed, he would not make a good candidate for community leader.

For CS:S The people who are admin that COULD be DM aren't getting it simply because they bug us so much asking for it, that we get annoyed and decide no. That is their fault for not being patient.

I did give my input @Chrono about this before, saying about DLs doing stuff like this, but was denied. So I very much DID have involvement in the idea.

I don't take on that much responsibility right now, I would honestly not mind helping out being a Council member. Really though, not all too much I personally have to work on since Hub is haulted for now. I'd like to help the clan out more than I have been.

It would be preferred that Division Leaders take care of their current duties and responsibilities while not adding onto it since that is what the majority is for. Keeping the Servers populated and working is of great importance, which is why there will be a separate group.

 

However, you can provide any recommendations for said group, just as I mentioned earlier which would make development of this group faster.

 

While I'm at it, I will remind Staff that this sort of change is/was meant to remain confidential until a decision was made; as that is why it was posted in "Admin Discussion". Do not share details with Staff who do not have permission to view this section of the forums. For future reference, think and consider that before you share information like this. It's in "Admin Discussion" for a reason.

I want do discuss my opinions on the choices of Community Leaders. First of all, correct me if I'm wrong, but only Forest, and Silence were the ones behind the choices, as they were anonymous in the decision, and didn't give any of us a chance to discuss the new rank other than in the previous thread.

What I think about this is why do the chosen Community Leaders get Source Ban access to add/edit/remove admins? Wouldn't it make more sense to make that ability Division Leader and/or Division Manager access, rather than some random administrators and whoever else was added? It seems like a huge responsibility to give someone when they are still Admins in game[One has taken up wearing [xG:CL] as their tag.

According so SourceBans, if you're not an in-server Community Leader, you get the immunity level that your rank gives [Admins, ect], otherwise you get 40 same as a Co-Leader did[but the only person with that ability is Forest]. And if you're a website Community Leader, you get [View admins, add admins, edit admins, view servers, edit all bans, ban protests, ban submissions, unban all bans, import bans, and view groups] while Division Leaders get access [view admins, view servers, add bans, edit all bans, unban all bans]

If this rank isn't supposed to be a Co Leader [Hence the "No-Balls isn't allowed, ect stuff that Co Leaders could do before] why give these players higher rank/powers than the players who manage the servers?

Again, I don't want to start a fight between us, but I do really want to know.
