Not for themselves. Powers aren't given so you can just be a higher rank than everyone else. The reason you feel like it's a job is because it is a job. Why else are you given powers to slay/gag/kick/etc if not to keep the Server enjoyable for everyone else? If you wanted to just be someone to play on the Servers and not deal with any of that, why are you accepting this position? I'm starting to get this idea that a lot of Staff Members only took the position to be better known and more respected, and that's it. You aren't there to have fun. Moderating isn't fun. I hate to say it, but there's truth in those words. If you guys are starting to feel like it's more of a chore and you've had enough, I strongly suggest stepping down from your position. I suggest this merely because we need Staff who don't mind getting on when they need to be on if just to moderate. Regardless of whether or not it's boring and stale, as I said earlier, your prime objective is to make the game enjoyable to others, not for yourself. You're Staff Members, and you're there to maintain rules and regulations, not to prance around because you have a flashy title or anything of the sort. I don't want to see a slew of CS:S Staff on TS3, but not a single one on CS:S Jailbreak or whatever server needs it most. This isn't directed to anyone specifically so much as it is to anyone in general who happens to fall under this category. Alright, after discussing recent events as well as attitude problems with Purple, it has been decided that he will remain a Member of xG. This is the first Member Protest I've seen regarding this player, and as such it will be an eye-opener. It has been made apparent that Purple is constantly harassed both in forums and ingame, which is without a doubt a contributing factor in his attitude. However; given that it is something that can be dealt with in a calm manner (either ignoring or notifying a Higher-Up), it is not a tolerable means of lashing out on forums or threatening to leave xG. Should another occurrence of this happen, expulsion from XenoGamers will be considered and more than likely dealt. I will also note that harassing members of the community is not something that should be practised. If you don't like someone, there is no reason you cannot just avoid them or simply ignore them. Should I hear that anyone is consistently harassing Purple (and vice-versa) again, consequences will be dealt, possibly to both parties. Grow up people, we expect more from our Members, and especially our Staff Members. If you are being harassed or disrespected by someone, notify a Higher-Up. There is no reason to further escalate it by stooping to the offender's level. Doing that will only result in a shit-storm that won't benefit anyone such as this. Contact me if Purple's attitude has gone out of check, and @@Cloud , fix that attitude. #Closing this. Going to go through it later. All I'm seeing are two members having it out at each other, and I'll give my opinion later regarding this whole thing about Purple.

He split off and made his own community, then soured his relations with xG by pulling a "towelie" and copying our TF2 rules without giving proper sources or even asking for permission.
