Honestly, I don't want to add to the list of TL;DR, so I'll just agree with the following: I'll also point out the amount of rank/power abuse going on (at least in the CS:S Division). Countless times I have seen Staff Members wiggle their way out of a punishment with their rank as an excuse. Other times I have seen them argue to the point where the other Staff Members just say "fuck it" and they get away scot-free. EDIT: Gawd also makes a valid point. If you see rules being broken, Staff Members abusing or blatant disrespect, take action and get a demo or screenshot. As an ex-Division Manager, a suggestion was brought up to Silence that we have an "Anonymous Section" made to report such things without fear of being shunned by the community or being labelled as a "tattle-tale". Sadly, people are only using it for shit-all threads and stupid ass posts. Make use of it, do your part as a Member and help weed out the Staff Members or Members who need to be dealt with.

Enforcing disrespect rule. Disrespecting Elaborated New Rules Regarding Disrespect Disrespect!? What the f... Boom! Disrespect to members. What I'm getting at is simply this; there is no cure for it. xG has tried time and time again to enforce "Disrespect". The meaning of Disrespect in itself has been altered several times in the past for the better, but to no avail. Players/Members just have to realize that there is never a reason to turn to insults/harassment (disrespect) at any point. If someone is calling you out, making fun of you or demeaning you in any way; why is it that we have to stoop to their level and throw it back at them? It's because people either take things too seriously (I mean really, we're a gaming community. It's a game.) or are too immature to take the slightest amount of criticism. That's another reason why it won't ever be fixed. Too many times have I seen players/members misinterpret something as disrespect when it is merely criticism or a "heads-up". I'm not going to go all TL;DR, but I just think it's too much of an idealist theory that we can completely get rid of Disrespect. Regardless of what anyone is saying, abuse is abuse, it doesn't matter how small or big. A team swap with the intention of keeping order sounds fair, but this is one of those times where it was a bad call. What I mean, is that a different approach should have been taken. This is in the same ballpark as with what happened to Warrior. A bad decision was made by the Staff Member (although one was more severe then the other) and a different course of action should have been taken (telling CTs to actively call warden or risk being swapped). Clearly, a teamswap isn't what you might call punishable by demotion, but this Is considered abuse of power. I'm sure Hella is aware that his actions were wrong, and hopefully he won't be doing it again. To those who are saying this thread was needless, you are being ignorant. Why else would we have Report Abuse threads, if not to warn our Staff Members that what they did was wrong. Had Chuck Norris not done this, I sincerely doubt anyone would have told Hella he did something wrong (during the time it happened), and he would most likely end up doing it again. I'm not for a demotion, nor am I for any sort of punishment for something as trivial as a team swap. But I do want Hella (and any other Staff Member) to know that swapping yourself to CT at any point to "maintain order" is wrong. As Gawd said, the only time you should ever teamswap anyone is from CT to T for not actively calling Warden. Swapping anyone from T to CT should not happen under any circumstances (unless I'm mistaken, I can't think of a scenario where it is needed). TL;DR - Hella is in the wrong (does not warrant a demotion), you should not swap yourself nor anyone else to CT at any point. Report Abuse threads, no matter how small the crime, are always useful in letting the Staff Member know that what they did was wrong. - Dat guy, Forest

Sadly, it's completely up to the player who is playing as the Warden. They can give the order "Talk over Warden you're a Rebel or will be muted", and CTs will have to minimize the amount they talk over Warden or risk being muted, and Ts can be killed (after 2 seconds of the given order) for talking over warden. If there is ever a time that CTs keep talking over the Warden, a Staff Member will give a warning before issuing any mutes. If it is really a problem, you can let us know by typing @ in Team Chat, followed by your complaint. First off, as stated earlier, you are liable for whoever is on your account. Why on earth would you let your friend (who obviously had no prior knowledge of Jailbreak let alone any experience) play on your account on Our server, without even directing him/her to our rules. Letting your friend play on your account on a game mode they have NEVER played (where one of the basic and most popular game modes for the game itself is Team Deathmatch) is just a recipe for disaster. Second, where is this disrespect you are preaching about? Every member here was merely stating that your reason was naive and over-used. No one called you names, no one insulted you or disrespected you, no one said you were stupid for using that reason. If anything, you just started your very own shit-storm by deeming us all disrespectful players. Before you even Mentioned perm'ing members from your server (or ours, I honestly don't know what you were referring to) there was no disrespect, but you just opened it up. Third and most importantly, What Disrespect Toward Your Clan? You think that just because you're in another clan you get a special reason to be unbanned? You think that just because you don't get your way, you can just throw a tantrum and threaten us with permanent bans? Words cannot begin to describe how ridiculous your argument sounds. Just because we won't unban you, and just because your reason isn't a Valid Reason to get unbanned, you're willing to start a thing between your clan and ours? If that's the case, I tip my hat to you and say that you must be a great Leader, starting conflicts because you decided to take offence to something as trivial and tiny as this on another clan's server. If you're going to be a Leader, take responsibility into your own hands and don't over exacerbate the situation by calling us out and Assuming that there's this personal vendetta from our clan against yours. I wasn't going to say any of this, but the moment I read; I could not begin to believe how ridiculous this sounded. I was going to respectfully tell you why your ban protest was going to be denied and why your reasoning was lacking any solid proof or an appeal, but I can see that you've made up your mind with that post of yours, so I might as well give my opinion on this mess. Gah, who cares that this guy has his jimmies all rustled. If you don't want something to be publicly accessible, then don't upload it, simple as that. Sure, it was indecent for Silence to do it anyways when told not to, but it's not like he did it to specifically spite the guy so much as he did it to attract more players to the TF2 Division. I will admit that it's a shame that the guy branded Every xG member as indecent or a liar, because like Jake so perfectly said: You can't expect to create or make something amazing and expect that Everyone who has access to it is going to be decent (especially when dealing with it Online, where it's so much easier to get away with). We can't just go on text when dealing with things such as mass freekilling, if there is a failure to provide evidence there isn't much we can do. Even given that players were witnesses to it, we need Video proof or at the very least Picture proof of the "accused". However; I can suggest that this player be Monitored as he/she does have a lengthy ban list which you may find Here . The player was also CT banned (1440) recently by @@DarkWolf6052 Also, @@Warriorsfury for shits and giggles, who knows, maybe he was secretly demo'ing the entire time. For future reference, you can record a demo by opening console (via ~) and typing in "Record [name]". You can stop it by typing "stop" in console if I'm not mistaken. It's not so much the fact that people dislike so much as it is the fact that, as Chrono perfectly stated, should any sort of event happen regarding suicide, xG may be held liable. It's not a deterrent to keep you out, nor is it an act of hate or anything of the sort. What's past may have past, but the fact of the matter is there WAS a threat of suicide at one point, which is more then enough to bring down Silence (as well as the community) should anything happen Related to it. All in all, suicide is never something to joke about or prod at. It's a very real thing, which as shown here, can only cause grief when threatened, even if it was due to some act of depression or any other scenario in the past. +/-0 as I only want to state my opinion, but cannot make a decision that should only be up to the Leader to decide. - Dat guy, Forest

Similar thread was started regarding bombs on CS:S. I think the reason they won't be implemented as a sort of "stand-alone" without the hub is because Silence doesn't want players to become too reliant on gaining money ingame to purchase them, when people could be donating for perks. It makes sense, but I could be wrong @@Rhododendron
