+1 props to @@Hidingmaster for everything he said, especially the TS3 stuff. I'm gonna get banned eventually under the new rules simply because i honestly forget to get on TS every time. Just today I was playing CSS for a few hours relaxing from work and realized I hadnt logged onto TS.
I dont know why everyone is being so anal about TS anyways, if I sit in a room with the sound muted (which I am often) the only way to reach me is through steam chat (or in game).

I can only vouch for the disrespect. It's basically an act of being obnoxious. Everything else is some bullshit that top-class mods/admins can get unfairly demoted for.

@@Link! said it better than i could when the thread about john was there, basically it is a warday and Ts can leave their cells at 7:00 anyone leaving before 7 is a rebel and he even verified that there was never a rule saying CTs must be in warday area by the time given for Ts to legitimately leave the cells but it is implied you should be making your way to warday at that point. as well as if a person left before 7, say at 7:03 and you were shooting them, just because it is 6:59 now and you are shit at aiming, does not make them not a rebel, and if you killed them then, it was also said that you are not freekilling.

So.... I am pretty sure there is no rule that states that CTs HAVE to be in warday areas by ANY given time, only that they cannot kill anyone while not in the warday area.
 
I am wondering why I have been slayed for getting to the warday area a few seconds late and then called names and told to read the motd, but the motd doesn't say anything about that and I have heard from other admins that the is no such rule.

Each situation has a different approach. As a staff member you are suppose to know how to handle a situation. If you notice the free shooting is aggravating people then do something about it. If it isn't then don't be a lollerskater.
 
All I'm saying is that each and every rule shouldn't be asked upon. You become the bigger man and make your own decision because we weren't there.

When was Permanent 3 freekills? WHEN?
I see you guys perm people too much. I remember permanent ct ban was that he freekilled about 5-6 guys on purpose. Not by accident. And ONLY if he leaves to try to not get banned then it is a server ban.
 
Back in my days of being a regular member I would have been permanently banned about 2 times for the way you guys are banned people. lol.

Why not just change what we do for ban lengths?

Mass fk, mass free shooting: 1 month ct ban
DDOS, hacking: perm

Nothing is permanent, trying to make something last forever without an outrageously valid reason (ddos, hacking, real life situations, etc.) is something nearly impossible to do. If xG actually kept people "perm'd" then the server would lose some of its most colorful participants. There has to be a balance between good and bad, if you only have players who follow and abide by the rules constantly there would be nothing exciting going on just the same thing every single round.

like u say, mass fk = most perm reasons
so easy to shoot 3 T's when players first join JB, can't hear warden's mic, etc.
 
not saying dont ban people, but like 3 months ban is enough for them to stay on T for a long ass time and learn rules/ etc/ wish they didnt get fucking permed, while maintaing server population.

Personally, I think perm-bans shouldn't even be warranted unless they hacked/ddos'd the server. Correct me if I'm wrong but, if you look at all the latest perm bans it's due to mass killing. It just comes to a line of judgment where people see it not as a fair punishment and a bit of biased judgments.
 
For me, being banned even for a week is a lot. Which I would figure a month ban would be justified rather then a perm ban. I think it would reduce all the headache if you actually give bans where they can change themselves rather then a life punishment and then complaining 3 days later. But rules are rules I guess.
