I uploaded all the maps I told you I would into my teamspeak channel "swag". It includes the all the names in a .txt file also. :).

Another thing is, it would be nice to have some members on surf. So that people like morph and I who dont go on JB can actually get accepted.

1) It would be really beneficial to use the CSGO SDK, but if that's absolutely not possible, make sure you don't use any entities that don't exist in cs:go - primarily weapons (usp, scout, mp5navy, m3, probably more that i'm forgetting). And make sure you use textures (and models) that exist in csgo, or properly pak the textures if youre using custom textures.

2) Teleporters consist of 2 entities: first, a brush entity trigger_teleport which you create in the area that you want the client to be teleported when they touch it. Secondly, an info_target point entity in the location they get teleported to. Give this entity a name, and set the destination for the trigger_teleport to the info_target that you created.

3) Place info_player_terrorist and info_player_counterterrorists (point entities) in the places you want them to spawn.

Thank you. I'm currently just using common wood textures and tiles. So hopefully that will be fine. I also have the spawn models set to the CSS ones, do you know if that would cause a problem when porting it?

Hello! I am currently creating a surf map and am looking for suggestions from more experienced mappers. Currently, due to how I have my storage set up, I cannot use CS:GO Source SDK. Instead, I can only make CSS maps.

Things I need help with:

I would like someone to explain to me how to port a CSS map to CSGO.

How to set up teleporters.

How to set up spawns correctly. (It currently says that both CT and T teams are full.)

Suggestions: (Please suggest ideas for the following, I am open for change)

Also, beta testers name WILL be included at the end of the map in the credits! If you are applying I want constructive criticism, trolls will be eliminated from the project and will not be featured in the credits. If this project goes well, I will make some exclusive xG surf and JB maps.

The plugin is updated, I also removed the cached replays on the server. If you can set a new record on a map and it still doesn't show the bot, tell me and I can reset all the saved record data to see if that fixes it.

 

Actually I did some tweaking with the bot cvars and I think I found a workaround for whatever the problem is, so there should be replay bots. All the old replays are back on the server.

No, the version is still running 1.17. In 1.18 it shows your record AND the SR on the timer panel. The bots also have trails.

The new version of the plugin isn't running. (I found installing the beta version made it work, but I don't know.)

ckSurf has released a new update, 1.18. It would be nice if you guys could update to it. Updating may also fix the problems with the record bot.

Not currently, no. I removed it about two weeks ago when payment was a problem.

Wait, wait, wait.. Are we talking about how you were acting about a month ago? because ever since CS:S was dropped, you ever so slowly turned into legend and suicidalcows combined (Disrespectful, childish and annoying.) This very much includes that one month ago.

Like I said, it is enabled. And the server has been restarted many times since the problem popped up.

Only thing I can think of is you not installing replay.txt (located in csgo\addons\sourcemod\addons\sourcemod\scripting\ckSurf\) correctly? Below I have provided the correct version of the script.

The replay bot is enabled, but not working for some reason. still trying to figure out why. The crashing might be fixed now, but we'll see.

I recommend restarting the server once making changes to cksurf.cfg if you haven't yet. You can also enable it in-game with !ckadmin. Might help with testing. :3

@Snackbar I'm sorry that you feel that way, and I find it interesting how you can hold a grudge and be so immature as to not judge people by their overall personality, and not one way that they acted at one point.

And as for an end goal to cause a disturbance. What are you even talking about? Explain to me how applying to join this community could cause any disturbance that would satisfy me in anyway? Just doesn't make any since to me.

Enough to know that at your core, youre the same trouble maker youve always been. Second chances are one thing, but when youve been nothing but a consistent thorn in the side, I know better than to allow it to happen once more. Ive got too much to deal with as it is and I personally feel you will only add to it.

Maybe in the future when youve interacted with the community in a meaningful way (other than just by being good at surf) then a member app may be more appropriate.

I'm not applying because I'm "good at surf", I'm applying because I like how the counter strike community isn't dead anymore. And by being meaningful I like to think me recommending people to come and helping people get better at the game mode is meaningful enough. I like to think if people get better at surfing, they'll actually come on the server.

I agree that I used to be this, but "time and time again" meaning you've seen this happen once. I know because I've only done this around you once.

Theres rarly a reason to be on surf unless we wanna surf. i've never been called on to do admin things.

You guys (Lithium, other DL/DM) should add the replay bot to the server that way I won't have to be on to show people how to beat the map.
