  11. On startup, the program would get the highscore from the saved file on the FTP, then set a variable (high_score) to that in the program. If the users score, (new_score) is higher than high_score, it will update the file on the FTP to the value of new_score. I thought about something like that, but had 0 idea how to execute that as I've never worked with that kind of stuff, but I have worked with FTP's before and figured this would be a viable option. I'll look into this, but I don't think I have the knowledge to actually execute it properly. Also not to worried about the security of the game, as much as I am just allowing multiple users to compete against one universal score.
  12. So the program is a game of sorts. At the end, you have a score. And if your score is higher than the highest score (the variable I'd like to put on a ftp), it will save and upload it. Hopefully that provides some clarity.
  13. I'm currently working on a personal project in which it saves a variable, and uploads it to a FTP to be accessed later. Process: Download file from FTP, if it doesn't exist, create locally for upload later. Assign variables with appropriate date from downloaded file. Run main program If record is better than previous, save values to downloaded file. Delete file from FTP, and upload the edited file to FTP. Repeat if user doesn't quit. I'm currently looking at using this library: CkFTP2: CkFtp2 C++ Reference Documentation But I've seen a lot criticism about it, as well as other libraries that look to fulfill my needs. What would you use, and how would you implement it? I can provide more details if need be. Edit: I should also include I'm using Dev C++ 5.11. Compiler set to configure: TDM-GCC 4.9.2 64-bit Release
  14. A bit late, but... It's sad that this was a problem in the first place. Although I don't get on anymore, and don't know the context of said ban, there's absolutely NO reason to ban someone for something they said while not on xG servers. Power-tripping admins at their finest. I also don't understand why you would be banned for talking shit about someone who goes on your servers. I'm sure that people have done it to me and vice versa. But I suppose xG is a safe-space now, don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings. ;)
  15. Kinda funny how people rate informative, then do jack shit. Why is there no one ever on CS:GO servers... Why do we need to schedule events to populate CS:GO servers... eh, who cares about them anyways lol!
  16. I'm here because I have nothing better to do at 2:00 in the morning. It appears that skill surf server's chat is screwed up entirely. Essentially, if you've ever gone on a skill surf server, you'd know that if you beat maps/bonuses, you get points. Those points attribute to your rank, and as you get different ranks, you get different chat colors/tags. Now this was all fine and dandy, till you guys introduced the chat colors/tags plugin. I've told both DM's, @Owl and @virr , about this bug, and it has yet to be addressed. I even messaged @Lithium about it today and he didn't even know there was a bug. The bug is that if you don't own any chat colors/tags, when you type in chat, you will essentially just type as a CT/T. The colors are just default. But the bug isn't the only reason for this thread, these plugins, I feel, completely ruin the server. The whole point of going on that server is so that they can rank up, and get rewarded for doing so. But people just being able have their own custom colors/tags makes this completely obsolete. There is no reward in getting "The Nuts" and that pink chat color when you could just buy it off of the store. But that's just my observation, and I've been to 90% of the NA CKSurf servers out there, literally none of them that have population use this shit. I don't know why you thought it was a good idea to add it. I feel like this is to blame for the server's low population. I can provide screenshots tommorow if you're too lazy to go on server.
