  1. If that doesn't work then it's best to contact the Community leaders and make a thread on the forums concerning it. You can contact @Aegean @Nomulous @Bleed. However i guess we can just use this thread.

Ill tag you all in the conversation, easier than moving it to a thread. @Vector @Aegean @Nomulous @Bleed

  2. Then why don't you actually do something about it and make a thread? The problem with the gmod division is that you guys have a hard time communicating

I've created a discussion with Rhodo a little while ago, like he asked, and nothing ever came of it. I explained why the server was heading in a bad direction and how Vertex was ignoring all admins and players on the server, not working with us, and basically telling us "it's my way or the highway" despite the fact I've been helping him with the server since it was launched.

The only person who's no longer moderator currently is yourself. The activity of other moderators is actually increasing with server activity.

The mods are inactive. If you are talking about Legion and Gamstoby, they play very rarely and barely moderate. Everyone else is gone, including your new Division Manager and specifically because of you're new fascist way of moderating.

but at the same time they need to be able and willing to hold the position; without comprising the server's player-base. There's always room for improvement, but sometimes difficult decisions need to be made, to ensure things keep moving forward in the right direction.

We were willing and able to hold the position. The only issue here is that you decided that banning people is evil no matter what the circumstances. How are we supposed to enforce rules on the server when the server owner specifically tells us not to ban players, and if we do we get punished. Do you know how many RDM's/Mass RDM's i've seen lately where the RDM isn't punished? Do you know how many players I see complaining and bitching at you to do something about the RDMing? The most insane thing is that you MUTE the players who are complaining while letting the RDMer keep playing. You are making the server fun for rule breakers and miserable for regular players. Why do you not trust the mods and players who have been playing and helping you with the server for years? No one agrees with your way of moderating, Makr and I have told you specifically why this is an awful way to run a server, but you ignore us and take away my mod for banning RDMers. What a great direction we're heading in; No active mods, no Division Manager, unhappy player base.

You may not agree with how things are run, but that doesn't give you the right to come on the server and ruin the game for everyone. Friend or not if someone is breaking server rules, they'll be moderated fairly and equally.

But why do other players get to come on the server and ruin the game for everyone? Like I've stated RDM's are happening all the time and you do nothing about it. Why is there special bias when it comes to me breaking the rules and most other players can get away with it? You're not moderating fairly and equally, you pick and choose who get's muted (those who disagree with you and are angry about RDM) and banned, otherwise your ban list would be a lot larger.

Gringo was demoted because of his inability to follow server rules. And unwillingness to improve his ways when it came to moderation.

I was demoted because I would punished players and you randomly out of the blue thought that was evil, despite us doing it and it working for years. I feel like ignoring RDM and muting those who YOU find annoying isn't an improvement at all.

it seems a bit hypocritical to criticize something you've never really played on and don't know the circumstances to.

Only thing I agree with, these people don't know anything about GMOD/Morbus and don't really care either, which is fine, just makes me wonder why we're part of this clan in the first place.

  3. Holding a glowstick in your hand would no longer light up the area

I was thinking about making a major change to glowsticks to massively improve client performance and to increase the amount of realism within the Morbus gamemode.

That wouldn't make it more realistic, but it would make the glow stick mechanic more interesting, and players would have to be more careful with the use of the glowsticks. Would also make the lights going off and your flashlight running out have a bit more impact, which imo, is a good thing. Have to keep in mind this would be a huge nerf to the glowsticks, and less players would likely use them as a result. I'm not against the change though, just have to see how the players feel if you try it out.

  4. I agree with removing the secret rooms, changing the traps so that they don't kill, and adding additional paths to several of the rooms. imo the Swarm spawn as a whole needs to be inaccessible to humans.

Really the biggest problems with Spaceship as I see it are the Secret rooms and Showers. Just removing the secrets and adding an additional way into showers will solve the balance issues with the map itself. I don't see the armory to be that good of a camping spot, as the group can rush and overwhelm you from around the corner, or just simply Brood Nade you, but adding another path to it still wouldn't be a bad idea.

I have a very conservative stance on certain maps like spaceship. The saying "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" definitely applies here for trying to improve the most popular and played map of all time. Something was clearly done right, as people love the map.

It has some serious balance issues. It has 3 camping spots (4 if you count armory) that are very hard for the aliens to enter and then kill whoever inside, has a campable swarm spawn which I used to get complaints about regularly, and has a laser trap that forces you to take the long way around to the top half of the map when the server is populated. I think people just liked playing it because the map was easy to learn, easy to camp, and you could win without having to group up, move around the map, and work as a team.

  5. @NekoBaron I liked the cosmetic/atmospheric changes to the map personally. However, there were a few hallways covered in purple textures and I believe the random Brood screams should be removed as well, because humans hearing the Brood screams will either try to track down that Brood OR stay away from the area they heard the screams. The way players move around the map, react, and ultimately play shouldn't be dictated by false sounds in a map, but actual sounds the opposing team makes.

  6. Xeno Gamers

you were banned by @Makr6e6 for 1 year for "Mass RDM with buddy, spiting warnings" on April 30th 2016. Based on this Ban Reason, it seems like you and a friend were consistently breaking rules even though you were warned to stop, and then decided to Mass RDM. If Makr could comment on the situation that would be good.

  7. Well you're got giving an educated reason why it sucks or not to try it again.

Bad layout, confusing, gravity lift didn't work well, and that was the unique thing about the map. Nothing you can do to fix it unless you want to open Hammer. It really doesn't matter what WE think about anything, if the players themselves don't seem to like something, then you should do your best to appease them. In this case, they didn't seem to like Horizon, so instead of repeatedly putting it back on the server and hoping for a different result, it's probably best to leave it off.

  8. Years ago it was considered a bad map, and the short time we had it on our server, every time I was there to play it it was !rtv'd. Since you just got Skandalon and Turbatio back I wouldn't recommend putting a map with such a bad reputation back on the server.

  9. My recommendations for Tooltips, feel free to add to them and add more if you think of any.

    Gameplay:

"Press V to Transform and C to Upgrade as an Alien."

"Shooting as a Brood Alien does 1/3'rd damage, lowers your Sanity, and does not infect the players you kill."

"New players can read guides by pressing F1 and F2"

    Commands:

"COMMANDS: !motd for rules, // for OOC, @ for Admin Chat, F3 for Pointshop and Settings, /spec to enter spectator mode."

    Forums:

"Join us and give your feedback at xenogamers.com today!"

"If you are interested in becoming a moderator, contact the staff using Admin Chat [@] or add ᵡᴳḽᴰᴹ Doctor Gringo (and @Stickz if you want them to add you) on Steam."

As for timings, you should be able to get through every tip in one map, so maybe start off at every 3 minutes and see how that goes. Also have it in some sort of order, I recommend how I have it now, go from Gameplay - Commands - Forums.

  11. Give your thoughts on this if you want @Stickz @Makr6e6 @CharDraesia

Not sure if you knew, but we have a thread dedicated to Requests for the Morbus server, which can be found here: Requests For The Morbus Server

While I think having glowsticks have their own separate slot would have been better than the nades having their own slot,(nades vs medkits should be the hard decision being made imo, not glowstick vs medkit. Would also buff the human side more honestly, newbies would be more willing to pick up glowsticks and Medkits. Broods would have to choose between a nade and medkit. glowsticks do not help them. ) I think its fine that nades are separate, but it lets human side players be more aggro.

Glowsticks being separate wouldn't be a bad thing, would be a small buff to the humans and would make glowsticks way more useful. I don't think grenades having their own seperate slot is a good idea, and would insanely buff Broods, as they would be able to carry a Medkit AND a grenade with no penalty. They should have to choose between a grenade and a medkit, healing or damage, not get the best of both worlds.

As for the new grenades in general, the problem isn't going to be the addition of the grenades themselves but what we decide to do with them. Having them on the main server for a while and seeing how players use them and seeing what the issues with them are is the first step. If we do this, we will be able to make balance changes accordingly. It is already clear from my short time using them on the test server that some are weak/useless and very strong. Changes will eventually be made, we just need to figure out what needs to be changed.

like the thing where you cant switch to weapons if you have the medkit out as a human

I don't know anything about this or maybe I just don't understand what you're saying.

the redness/screen blur when low hp

We have had this suggestion in the past, I personally don't have a preference either way and I don't think the redness really blocks the screen the way some players think. I also think it makes sense for it to be in the game, but I wouldn't care if it was removed. Probably should be on the lower end of the to-do list.

the stun on nitro spit shouldnt be a stun where you cant move your screen and cant move, and should be a slow instead,

I don't use this upgrade myself, nor do I see it used very often. I do however think a full stun per hit is very strong since it also disables your gun on top of disabling movement, maybe a slow would be a less OP option.

reworking scream away from something that blocks a persons vision

Maybe have it so it shakes their screen instead? Makes more sense since your letting out a high pitched noise. This may be above our a abilities as well. I don't really think Screach is that OP of an ability anyway, but if others feel differently than maybe it can be reworked/nerfed.

make nades more visable or have a glow to them when thrown so people can dodge them more ezily.

YES! I agree that a glow would be good for the grenades, making them easier to spot out. The frag can be very difficult to spot out, even when the lights are on.

  12. Fix and add to the Point Shop: The icons have been glitched for a long time and our Point Shop lacks content. If we could fix it so custom player models could be added and not interfere with the Swarm and Brood aliens that would be great too. If we're going to add Donater Perks like we've been talking about this will be a huge plus as we don't have a whole lot to offer atm.

  13. If he continued with the racism/disrespect after a warning then he should just serve out his punishment. Being disrespectful on the server has nothing to do with being new to the game mode, plus it's only a 2 day ban.

  14. -1 After he massed, we gave him another chance which I feel was very generous on our part considering he LIED on the ban protest. After only just coming back on our server hes been RDMing and spraying pornography, even after being warned about it. He's been banned from other Morbus servers in the past as well. If you want my opinion, leave him perma banned and be done with this guy.

  15. Fancy animation? You mean like a dancing brood alien or something?

People don't come to the server to look at a fancy animation on the motd, they come to play the game. Most players won't read the motd whether you have a fancy animation or not.

And us having it there just because our server needs to have rules and justification to ban people.

We can never force anyone to read the rules, all we can do is give them the opportunity to and recommend that they do, and then if they break them, we have the justification from the motd to ban them.

It would be more trouble than it's worth. Would be like painting a picture for nobody to look at it.

  16. I can look into making the text larger but I honestly don't see what you mean lol. An motd is just supposed to list rules and information for a server and ours does that. Looks pretty neat to me, and similar to other guides I've seen (e.g. Jailbreak Rules) I even go back and edit it once in a while to try and put things in better spots and add new rules as things come up. It is way neater and clearer than the previous motd, i'm not sure what else I can do.
