Making a poll in which the community will decide on this. Lately there have been reports of players saying they don't want to read the MoTD rules because it's too long. Because of this, we have been discussing whether or not to make a Basic set of rules to be implemented into the !motd ingame. An example of such would be;

 

- Rebels are KoS

- Map Games/MoTD Games only allowed every other day

- First to call Warden is Warden

- Warden must give orders to eliminate Ts until one is left

 

Etc. Those are just off the top of my head, but you get what I mean. Leave any comments, debate, discussion below.

This is the MoTD Version that will be shown ingame when someone types !motd or just motd. The more Detailed version will still be available (you can follow the link provided in the Basic MoTD at the end) whenever comes a time where detailed rules need to be applied.

 

This is the Final Version of the Basic MoTD

 

>Anything that is not in the MOTD is considered illegal unless an Admin says otherwise.

1. Do not advertise on our servers.
2. No cheating on our servers (this includes wall-hacking, aimbot, etc).
3. Do not impersonate other members or admins.
4. All sprays and avatars must be PG- 13 and cannot have nudity in them.
5. No using voice changers in-game.
6. You must have enough legible characters in your name so staff is able to target you.
7. Do not bring up or make remarks to political stances, religions, leaders, nations or touchy subjects.
8. No racism or sexism in an insulting manner is allowed.
9. Lastly, and most importantly, admins have final say about decisions in-game, do not pester or bother them.

Counter-Terrorist Rules and Regulations:

- Do not Freekill
- Do not break vents unless Last CT is in effect
- Do not Camp Armory
- Do not Camp Vents
- Do not Bait the Terrorists
- Do not Gunplant the Terrorists
- Any Rebels at any point are considered Kill-On-Sight unless Pardoned by the Warden

- Do not Camp Armory
- Do not Rebel during your 'Last Request'
- Do not Camp Vents

- Attempt to keep your CT casualties to a minimum
- Follow Regulations and Rules

- Maintain order and stifle Terrorist Rebellions
- Eliminate any Terrorists who are not following the Warden's orders.

How about add a couple and we are good. And detailed list will be available for staff? (Like the stuff mentioned in staff thread)

 

- No freekilling

- No camping armory

- No breaking vents

- No baiting

- Rebels are KoS

- Map Games/MoTD Games only allowed every other day

- First to say "I call Warden" is Warden

- Warden must give orders to eliminate Ts until one is left

Will the more complex set of rules stay on site? I feel that people would find loopholes to exploit. Why not just highlight the key points in the advanced motd?

Yes, the advanced MoTD will still be in effect if and when something happens that requires specific ruling/details. It MIGHT only be available to Staff Members, but then again we might just leave it on forums for everyone to view.

 

Why not just highlight the key points in the advanced motd?

We are basically just highlighting the key points, we are in no way changing any of the rules. Just merely pointing out the ones that you are required to know.

Some of the Motd rules and listings are really long. Best thing we should do is try simplifying each part.

Such as gist of a day:

Follow the warden orders.

Ts may Rebel at any time.

Last T gets lr excluding Wardays.

I think T's SHOULD be allowed to freekill each other as much as they want, if they can get away with it. Yes I've actually seen mods and admins slay T's because they teamkilled or door'ed oneanother. Its a fight to last man standing, and dirty tactics make the game more interesting.

I like it. But if we want as simplified as it can get, then we could eliminate the first parts. As they seem to be tips, not really rules.
